Schott Zwiesel, the famed German producer of "the best crystal glassware" has been a leader in innovation, style and technology for more than 100 years. The company has many firsts to its credit, including the first fully automated product of glass blown glass stemware. In the 1990's, as the glass industry struggled with the environmental issues of lead and other heavy metals in crystal, the company was the first glassmaker to produce lead-free crystal glass of superb quality and brilliance. Schott Zwiesel created Tritan crystal in 2001 by adding titanium oxide and zirconium oxide to develop "the world's best crystal glass". Tritan crystal is 100% dishwasher safe-it will not etch, cloud or discolor for the life of the glass. Tritan resists the damages of daily use-breakage, chipping and scratching. Tritan is thermal shock resistant. Tritan is one of the most clear and brilliant crystal, capable of conducting, refracting and transferring light more than any other crystal. Tritan tempers the rim, the bowl and stem joint and the foot edge for added strength against chipping and breakage. All crystal items manufactured by Schott Zwiesel are cut with our patented laser technology for a smooth thin, elegant edge. All stemware products are seamless after manufacturing; no unsightly seams remain between the bowl and stem, on the stem, or under the foot of the glass. Each detail of size, weight and balance is carefully studied by experts in the culinary field and our manufacturing engineers. The diva living collection features the same beautiful style as the diva collection but offers a shorter stem for easy storage and cleaning in the dishwasher. The diva living collection is a full line with the proper stem for your favorite drink. This set of 6 Tritan crystal Riesling glasses are best utilized with: Riesling, port, Madeira, sauternes and Muscat or any of your favorite late harvest wines.

Too many have flaws in the glass
Our second purchase of these glasses, and I'm not impressed. In this order of six, three of the six have quite noticeable flaws in the glass on the base. Considering they're more than $9 apiece, I expect higher quality (or quality control, anyway) than the widely available consumer stemware. Consider spending a little more for another highly respected brand, or less for consumer brands: Both may be a better value.Edit: Elected to return this flawed product, and we're changing this order to another brand on Amazon that we've found to be an equally nice glass and a much better value.

Perfect wine glass
The resistance to clouding in a dishwasher is super. Classic shape that is a pleasure to see, hold and use.

They’re nice looking with nice a nice feel, but they DO break quite easily!
The sole reason for buying these glasses was for use outside as they’re advertised mostly for their strength.... last night one tipped over from the upright position (wasn’t dropped), and shattered... yeah. So to be clear, the 2 stars given is only because the big sales pitch for these is strength so I rated based solely on that quality. For look and feel they’re certainly closer to 4 star glasses.Keep that in mind if you decide to buy them, don’t choose these for strength alone. On the plus side, they look very nice -almost as nice as my other crystal glassware -but I would’ve looked at other glasses if strength wasn’t a huge part of my consideration with this purchase.
