JVL Rug Safe Carpet Gripper for Carpet Floors 60 x 90cm

We use a barrier mat to protect our carpet from the wheels of our home office chair and general wear and tear underneath the desk. However the barrier mat has a life of its own and constantly moves to the left and we are forever moving the chair and readjusting the mat. We recently had a new carpet fitted and this just made things worse. We have tried all kinds of grippers and tapes but none of them worked so as a last resort we thought we would try this 'JVL Rug safe carpet gripper for carpet floors'. We bought the 120 x 180cm so as to cover the whole of the underside of the barrier mat and it was worth every penny. It has been in daily use now for almost a month and the barrier mat has not moved a fraction. So 100% success for us. Brilliant product.

Bought 3 new rugs for the bedrooms but unfortunately they were just sliding around the carpet. After lots of research - decided to purchase these as they seemed to ‘work’However after buying 3 of the large size and putting them down according to the instructions - they do NOT work!! 😡Woke up this morning and the rugs in all 3 bedrooms after being walked on during the night are wrinkled and way out of place! The sticky gripper is still stuck to the carpet where it was applied but it does nothing to keep the rug itself in place!I am now over £30 out of pocket - absolute rip off - I’m fuming! Cannot return as they were cut to size!**DO NOT BUY**

Don't bother going to the gym, this is a full body workout! probably like me most people will have to trim to size first then remove the backing,( do not remove backing first as will stick to everything including you). This will nullify your right to return. I have no idea if it works as I'm going for a rest.

Value for money wise, this is a good choice. I have a very fine lightweight rug on a low pile carpet, and this product has gripped well and stopped the movement of the rug almost completely.However, peeling the adhesive backing off the gripper is a two person job for definite- if it sticks to itself during the process it’s a nightmare to undo. Overall this is a good choice for not a big investment. But two pairs of hands are needed to fit it!

Little bit sceptical at first but working really good

I bought this to, obviously, stop my rug moving but unfortunately it didn’t work and when I took the rug and the product up it left my carpet sticky! My cats wouldn’t walk o it because their paws kept sticking! Very disappointed and put it in the bin! Even my vacuum struggled to get past the stickiness!

Purchased 2 of these to replace ones I had brought from the States and used on my old carpet. These were for after I had new carpet installed. Neither of the products has worked. One was used under a 90 x 150 cm rug in the dining room. Has more wrinkles in it than a 50 year old elephant. The other one was used under a 120 x 180 cm rug in the living room under a set of nesting tables. So far there are many wrinkles outside the parameters of the tables. Maybe it is because I weigh 230 lbs and the adhesive can't handle it. Will wait till I go back to the States and buy replacements. Also, the product was stuck to itself and when I tried to undo it the tackiness diminished. Maybe they should use a stronger adhesive and cover the whole thing with plastic so that it does not stick to itself.
