Solid nib, hard starts overnight but lovely effect on writing
The grind is even and the flex is right for my hand (it’s quite firm). Do know, it will hard start unless you thin your ink a bit, and even then still does after sitting overnight. Not too atypical for a budget stub in my experience. I’ve had two of these and both are solid and the performance from both was the same.

Compatibility note - not interchangeable with generic JoWo #6 feeds and housings
I recently purchased the Conklin #6 JoWo Nib to replace a broken feed and housing on one of my custom fountain pens, only to discover an important compatibility issue. It turns out that Conklin's version of the JoWo nibs does not fit generic JoWo nib applications, which was an unfortunate oversight on my part. This mismatch meant that the nib couldn't serve its intended purpose for my original pen. Despite this initial setback, I've decided to keep the nib for use with my Conklin Duragraph, which I don't use frequently. Switching to a stub nib on this pen offers a refreshing change, and I'm hopeful it will encourage more frequent use. As for the nib's performance, the stub grind delivers beautifully smooth lines, which is a significant plus. However, it's worth noting that this stainless steel nib is on the stiffer side compared to others I've used, possibly due to the larger grind size. It also provides somewhat less feedback than I'm accustomed to, which might be a downside if you prefer a more tactile writing experience.

Housing to large
This nib will not fit my section, its to large! My sections I make myself for a #6 JoWo nib and this nib just will not fit, takes a letter O drip drill bit and that's just to large for my sections!

Nib assembly didn’t fit jowo pen housing. Too large.
Had to remove nib assembly and install in housing that fit pen.
