This block worked great. Has the cut side and flat side.

I bought a click lock flooring system that requires you to tap every single plank into position to ensure you get a water tight fit. I didn't realize this after installing an entire room and notice inconsistent gaps and spacing. After tearing up my flooring to redo, I picked up this tapping block and its made the job much easier. Tapping every plank is still tedious, but this tapping block gets every plank into the right position with 1 or 2 good hits. The heights on both sides work for my flooring. I haven't had a single plank damaged from this tapping block, works extremely well. It showed some signs of wear with damage to plastic, but I think its durable for most homeowners. Professionals might want something slightly more durable.

Game changer when you have the right tools. I was able lay my laminate floor and easily tighten all seams. Well worth the purchase.

This is a handy tool and it's dependable.

The tapping block works fine! Essential for vynil tile installaton. But, watch for used block. I didn't open mine quickly and when it came time to work I learned that I had a used item. Apparently people buy this, use it, and return it -used and damaged- to get a refund.
