This charger has been in service for only a few months at this point, but I am liking what I see! Hard-hitting punch has earned respect from my milk goats on my side and the neighbor cows on the other side. I'm running mine off of a lawn mower-size gel cell and a small 35-watt solar panel, and I never have to mess with it. The alarm did get disconnected on mine because I thought it was going to be a lower volume, but it turns out to be a real loud shrill alarm that will get everyone's attention! I just didn't want someone nearby to have to deal with it if it went off while I was away from home. If you had a problem animal that you really wanted to tend to for a couple of days without risk, I might use it then. It is nice to see the condition of everything just in passing as I walk by. I can hear it clicking as always with others, but the digital display tells me battery status, weed or short status, all at once with numerical readouts, not just a swinging needle that may or may not be accurate. Also, the remote control I didn't think I would have a need for has turned out to be my favorite "toy"! It's so nice to be working on the fence and turn things off from a long distance and then turn things back on to verify things. I lost my remote once temporarily, and I had to remember that I can simply unplug from one socket on the charger and re-plug into a socket that doesn't use the remote, so they thought of everything. I'm so sorry to be moving away from the USA brand chargers that I have used for over half a century but until they can make them last for 20 years the way they used to last instead of only one year and with a proud price, that's just what I'll do. Hope you're reading this, Parm**. I had one question for the company when I lost my remote control and was away from my paperwork, and they were there to reply and offer their help straightaway. That totally surprised me!

Haven't used it a lot but it's strong and so far working well. For the price point thus seems pretty good! Comes with a remote control to turn it off and on ( which is a nice feature) and has a VERY LOUD siren alarm (like blast your ear drums out loud..so be cautious) that you can set so you know when it's shorting out. Can be used AC or DC which is also a fantastic feature.

Charger seemed to work OK at first but as there is no on off switch it has to be unplugged and pugged in to operate, we use it only during the day and the pug tore off from the cord after 3 weeks leaving a scorch mark on my wife’s hand now we have no charger as it is fried. The pug is not large enough to grip tightly daily and during repeated plugging in and un plugging it separated from the cord, and NO we were NOT pulling on the cord.

Only 4 stars because it is not waterproof. You need to put it where it won’t get wet. Item shipped fast. Good packaging. I have almost 1000’ of electric netting running off of this charger. It puts out 12,000v at the charger and I measure 3,000v anywhere on the fencing. I will get this manufacturer’s larger offering and split these fences up between them so I have hotter shock protection. The camera didn’t capture the led input voltage very well… it says 12.4v is coming from the battery I have it hooked to. The more green bars that light on the output voltage, the better and hotter the shock will be.

Started off strong & worked great. Very powerful unit. Shortly after 30 day return window expired it stopped working. I kept it dry and protected from the weather at all times.... And still it failed within 2 months. The remote control which was a fairly important part of my project broke after 3 days, And unfortunately I was too busy and didn't feel like it was fair to send it back JUST for the remote. When I opened up the box to see why it failed and if I could fix it, I realized that the rubber seal was done installed properly from the get-go and moisture had gotten in and corroded the electronics. Update, after I posted my review, the company sent me a full refund! WOW!

We purchased this fence charger on July 6 and it quit working by November 14. Does not appear to be a good quality.

Works great!

It worked great and taught our houdini horse a lesson... until it stopped working. The power light flickers on but nothing else works anymore. Just a month and a half after installing it. I can't find any support for this product or any way to contact the seller for a replacement. 1 star for the lack of support.
