The marble chair rail was as described and packaged well. We used it to picture frame the backsplash on a feature wall in our kitchen. Thought the price was great too. The project turned out better than we expected and the marble really made it pop !

The marble chair railing arrived well protected and in perfect shape and it's even more beautiful in person. The front and top sections of the marble chair railing are polished while the back and sides are left in their natural unpolished state. I love the gray veining throughout the marble and it's evident this chair railing is real marble, not manufactured. It is heavy so you'll need the appropriate adhesive to attach it to your backing board for it to remain in place. I'm looking forward to having our bathroom renovation complete so I can see it in place. As for my reviews, I am someone who is selective and particular and have no qualms whatsoever leaving an honest review regardless if it is favorable, critical or somewhere in between. Not only am I a newly recruited Vine Reviewer for Amazon, I have been an Amazon customer since 2006 and know the value of an honest review, as does Amazon for they specifically direct its Vine Reviewers to be honest in their assessment of a product because their customers rely on reviews when deciding whether to purchase an item.

UPDATE: Very gracious seller reached out and offered full refund, explained that each batch varies as each block their cut from varies, and helpfully let me know that everything they have in stock is the same as what I got - BUT added that they're getting a new shipment in abt 3 mos and it could be totally different - good to know so I know but to try again right away. I plan to return these and reorder in 3 mos. While this is lovely, the 5 pieces I received are from the more solid-colored blue-gray background type. I have three walls of white cararra marble tiles as a backsplash, with very few of the darker, solid-color ones like these (and quite a bit lighter than these). They don't look at all like the ones in the listing pictures, which show predominantly white pieces with gray veining. Very disappointed. Can't use these at all, tho they're beautiful and well cut.

The picture shows this as being white with gray veins. It is VERY gray throughout! No white at all. Veins are more dark gray or black where the base color is really grey.

Good quality white Carrera marble. Similar marble chair rail at the big box stores will be a special order and cost a lot more. If you go directly to a specialty tile store, forget about it, you'll pay out the nose. I'm a tile installer by trade, with over 30 years experience. I know my marble, and you're not going to get better deal than this anywhere. I haven't actually installed them yet, but I will soon enough on an upcoming job, to outline a shower niche and a high-end walking shower renovation. Will come back and post pictures when the job is done.

This 8 pack of carrara marble trim is beautiful. The marble is classic carrara with the cream white and grey veining. The pieces are solid and heavy. They are so heavy that I am not sure I would feel comfortable using them as chair rain on a wall - you'd need to be a professional to know how to install without them falling off the wall. I had planned on using these in an art piece but given how heavy they are, I might use them as trim somewhere else.

Received the marble chair rail in what appeared to be sturdy styrofoam packaging boxed in cardboard. About half of the pieces had some small chips or damage requiring replacement shipment. The ones that arrived undamaged look great.
