I purchased this necklace intending to use it as a portable and socially acceptable fidget that I could not lose b/c it’s attached to me. So far it has worked as intended! I find rolling and shaking the beads around to be quite satisfying, and, it satisfies the urge to fidget on the go. It seems about as durable as other low cost costume jewelry. The length is nice. It sits squarely on the upper part of my sternum.

I bought this as a gift for my son. It looks very much like a brass one I've had for years that he really likes. Thee abacus is ancient and I learned how to use one when I was a kid. I was fascinated watching people that were really good at it beat adding machines. It's a very beautiful necklace and my son is very happy with it. When I buy a gift I usually put a bit of thought into it. I want the person to really like and enjoy their gift and I also want it to have some meaning. I know that's a lot.This time I didn't need to, it was all of those things and I just knew it was the perfect gift!
