A good quality shirt with a weird cooling technology.
This men's long sleeve pullover polo-style "golf" shirt has an Adidas logo on top of a horizontal stripe printed across the upper left side of the chest. It has no chest pocket. Since I will be wearing the shirt outside during hot weather, I wanted to get a light colored shirt. Of course the long sleeves keep the sun off my arms and the insects at bay. Accordingly, I ordered the white/solar blue color scheme so the shirt itself is white with the logo and stripe being blue. It is really a nice looking shirt. The shirt is manufactured in Vietnam under the Adidas label. I ordered the shirt through Amazon and it was sold to me by Lyons Trading Company, a discount e-commerce company that sells golf and fitness products, apparel, and pet products, in Eagan, Minnesota which is a suburb of St. Paul, Minnesota. Their storefront is www dot proozy dot com. It was shipped directly to me through USPS from their warehouse in Eagan. The shirt is made from 100% polyester. The feel is definitely polyester, but it is fairly soft and satiny. The material seems to be high quality. It drapes well and doesn't tend to bunch when you wear it. I ordered 2XL and the fit was about right. The care tag indicates that the shirt should be washed in cold water. I washed it in warm water and tumbled dry at low heat. There was no significant shrinkage. The advertising doesn't describe any UV protection features. The construction is good quality with seams that appear consistent without fraying. There are no sleeve cuffs as such. The "cuffs" are simply hems at the end of the sleeve. Consequently, the sleeves can be comfortably pushed up on your arms when needed. Now here's where it gets a bit weird. One of the main selling features of the shirt is called "Climachill". Adidas claims this an "active cooling apparel technology" that incorporates titanium(!!) woven into a wicking microfiber fabric and "aluminum cooling spheres" that are placed against the skin. It is further claimed that this "SubZero" microfabric is made from a flat yarn that has more surface area than traditional yarns, which, in turn, enables it to transfer more heat away from your body. I have no idea if any of this is true or just marketing hype. It looks and feels like normal fabric to me. In any case, you can definitely see the aluminum cooling spheres. The shirt has an approximately 7" x 5" section of fabric inside the upper middle of the back that has several rows of raised silvery nodules. They are hard but seem to be more rubbery than metal to me. Of course you can't miss them because Climachill is written right on the outside back of your shirt. When I first put on the shirt, the spheres give me a bit of a cold shiver and it felt as if something wet was on the back of my neck. But once I had worn it a while and had started perspiring, the nodules warmed up and it just felt like something was rubbing on the back of my neck. For me, it quickly became annoying. Fabric wicking was about average as compared with other similar shirts I have. Based on the retail price on the tag, this is an expensive shirt. Fortunately, I got it at a significant discount. Overall, the shirt fabric and construction were good quality but I am not sold on the Climachill spheres. This was an average three star buy for me.

Great to protect from the sun while not affecting my swing.
I'm an avid golfer and live in Socal. Got tired of slathering on sunblock on my arms right before playing and then having my hands be slippery for the first tee shot.I tried those compression sleeves but they're uncomfortably tight in the upper arm. The benefit of tight is that definitely have a cooling effect. Most like big sleeve golf shirts are too hot. This one is not. It fits according to size and the little aluminum chill buttons on the upper back are brilliant!

Great for hot weather golfing, to hide from sun!!
In many parts of the world its actually quite difficult to get a lightweight long sleeve golf polo. Most people think, if you want long sleeves, you must want warmth! Not me. I want to hide from the sun! This is a great quality shirt, at a VERY reasonable price. I got the blue colour, and shall now order another different colour. SUPERB!!
