Great for small space
Perfect size for a small kitchen. Works just as well as pricer brands and takes up little space.

Does the jpb
I wrote a review earlier complaining about the poor excuse of a waffle maker this is. My apologies. It was mt fault. The pancake mix was the culprit. I did some trouble sooting with the mix I had been using and then went to another mix. The new mix worked perfectly in the maker and I ended up with a very nice waffle.

The worst waffle maker
This is the worst waffle maker. It does cook the waffle quickly(within a minute in a half, compared to 3 minutes with other brands that I have used), but the waffles always come out burnt in spots. It heats up quickly but gets too hot. I actually liked its small size and takes little counter space storing when storing upright. But I had to return it and bought a Cuisinart flip waffle maker which is perfect and works great so far. So if you don’t want burnt waffles, I would definitely not recommend this one.

Good enough if $20 or under
It’s pretty good, seems a little bigger than a Belgian waffle but it works good, a little mess and takes a few try’s to get it the way you want it but for $20 or less it’s worth it. Anything more I would have went to a little better one. But $20 worth it

Makes Great Waffles
I have never had a waffle maker before and after having tried this one, I am not sure why. I looked online and I found a lot of different ways to use a waffle maker, not just to make waffles. This waffle maker was very easy to use. You literally plug it in and wait for the green light. I am posting an easy waffle recipe below and it worked great. The maker does put off smoke the very first time you use it but the second time, it was gone and never came back (as in second waffle I made – not second use). I followed the directions on the insert and everything went well. Of course I had to overfill it at least once to see what it would do, and yup, it makes a mess. The mess was easy enough to clean up, though, but I will try to avoid doing that again. Clean up of the maker was easy also. A damp dishcloth and a quick wipe with a towel and I was done. I am looking forward to trying the waffle pizza next and attempting a quesadilla in one. I know this is one appliance I will be using a lot more in the future. Easy Waffle Recipe 2 cups Flour ½ tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp Salt 1 tbsp Sugar 6 tbsp Unsalted Butter – Melted 4 Eggs 1 cup Yogurt or Sour Cream 1 cup Milk Wisk together dry ingredients. Mix together wet ingredients. Fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Follow insert directions.

So far so good
As far as how well it performs, I don’t have any complaints. I use Kodiak mixes for my waffles since they are my favorite, and they came out fluffy and soft in this waffle maker. I think my favorite thing about this waffle maker is that it can be stored with the griddle thing straight up, it makes it so much more convenient to keep it on your counter since it doesn’t take up much room. Another thing that I really like about this is that when you have it opened and you are putting the batter inside the other side doesn’t close down automatically, it stays up. It’s something that’s so small and sounds like it would be inconsequential, but my last 2 waffle makers you had to manually hold the other side open while pouring your batter. Overall I’m happy with it!

I was really hopeful for this *new* Amazon product. Not! I was looking for a Belgian Flip Style waffle maker with easy storage and non-stick plates... I had already purchased a model that was twice as expensive but it had design issues, a faulty timer, hard to clean and dripping condensation, so it was returned to Amazon. This model looked very promising.. but alas, it is just terrible. As you can see from the photos the MAJOR FLAW is uneven heat and far too much heat. According to the instructions, which I followed EXACTLY, the cook time should be around 3-4 minutes, basically waiting for the "green" light to illuminate... Well the light does come on in NINETY SECONDS or less and the resulting waffle is SCORCHED in some places and UNDERCOOKED in others. Nope, not going to work, send it back to the design department! Total FAIL. It could have been a GREAT machine, is has a nice design with interlocking ridges to keep the batter in, but it collects condensation in areas you'll never to able to clean. Also, any batter that happens to fall on the non-stick interior handle WILL NEVER COME OFF, regardless of how much you will scrub it. You get what you pay for. Buyer beware.

Too Hot, Waffles burn slightly prior to green light coming on.
