Zero stars. 1. "Shimmering Gold" is actually an aged brass color so the little painting I accomplished was a waste of time. I did mix thoroughly before use. 2. Chemical fumes are so strong (and dangerous) that I put a small amount in a plastic cup instead of lugging the can around. Paint ate right through the plastic and spilled all over my waterhog door mat, ruining it. There ought to be a precaution on the can about plastic containers; this is marketed as a decorative paint and not all of us have a lot of experience with oil based paints. 3. Barcode label applied to can covered most of usage info and was very difficult to remove. 4. Paint contains kerosene, xylene, turpentine oil and has significant hazard warnings on can, including possible death. Why isn't there a picture of this important info in the Amazon listing?

Yes this color is more of a brass , than a gold. The odor is strong when laying on the paint.

Not a full can of paint, doesn't spread easily, takes a long time to dry, dented container, smells like turpentine. Yet, the color is beautiful. How do I rate this paint? I will give it 5 stars for beauty, taking away 2 stars for the rest. giving a 3 star rating.

Smells like gasoline/petrol! A very bad odor. Does not have good coverage. I had to put two coats over top of yellow paint to get the gold to look good.

Amazing paint, very sticky though so have to apply a few layers to cover my mirror, very strong smelling paint so make sure you do it outside and leave it outside to dry

Good colour, very strong aroma though when applying. Very vivid colour.

I was apprehensive after reading other reviews before buying this paint but I now believe that was unfounded. The paint is oil based therefore you can't just paint if on anything. Surfaces do need to be primed and will require 2 coats but the end result is good. I refurbished this Tai Princess garden ornament which was past its best and I'm pleased with the end result.

I'm not joking when I say this stuff is more pungent than smell of sweat on the underground in the heat of summer,my eyes where watering my nose was running,even the cats in the neighbourhood stayed away which in hindsight was a good thing,the colour was more dull than the Pope reading a speech in monotone in 30 different languages,and the consistency of this stuff was thicker than joey Essex ,it takes a millennium to dry so be prepared to wait longer than waiting for an nhs doctors appointment ,seriously if you are thinking of buying this stuff the only place I could recommend you use it would be as far away from earth as possible because the stench is bound to keep anyone and everything from coming near! You've been warned
