Best protein so far
I scoured the net far and wide to find a whey protein powder that 1. tasted good and 2. had nothing artificial. It was hard going but I finally found the one. This is excellent quality. I get absolutely NO bloating with this and guess what? It's tastes great in WATER too! Yes, it's a tad on the expensive side but this is some good protein and I feel that it's working. Furthermore, this protein is from cows that are not treated with those horrendous growth hormones! Well worth it.

but it didn't seem to blend as easily) 2) The taste is really good 3) The product does not contain any nasty sweetners ...
Over the years I have tried many different brands of protein. Whilst this may not be the cheapest, I will list the positives: 1) Mixes really well with water (note I did try the strawberry flavour too, but it didn't seem to blend as easily) 2) The taste is really good 3) The product does not contain any nasty sweetners or colours 4) Packaging is well made and the plastic lid seals back on nicely 5) You do not get stomach bloating as with some brands I was recommended Solgar protein by a friend who in turn has been recommended it by a sports nutrionist. Do not be fooled by the marketing and hype of some of the bigger brands. This is a high quality whey protein.

very nice taste and quality
I have been taking this for over 4 weeks now, having started with the vanilla flavour which I loved so decided to try the chocolate and strawbery ones as well. Love all the flavours, the chocolate one I like to mix in my porridge in the morning or in my pancakes since I'm not a very big fan of chocolate milk (that's the taste you get when you mix it with almond milk - or any kind of milk I guess). My favorite is the strawberry one but i like the vanilla one as well. The only protein powder I had tried before was the Nutriclear by Biotics Research but it tasted horribly and was quite expensive so decided to go with this one by recommendation of my nutritionist and I guess I'll stick with it since it's such good quality and good flavour.

Great taste!
Love this powder and it seems to be one of the few naturally sourced/made protein powders in the UK. I bought this when it was on special and my only gripe is the cost when it is full price, making it prohibitively expensive in my opinion. Shame it wasn't a bit cheaper otherwise, I'd buy it all the time. Chocolate is great!

Great for FODMAP diet, and tastes nice!!
Great tasting and doesn't upset my stomach like some shakes do. I've tried the vanilla flavour which is okay, but has a weird aftertaste. This one is much better tasting I think! I follow a FODMAP diet and this protein shake is great for me - no bloating at all! Also definitely noticed an improvement in muscle tone alongside training with this product. Highly recommended! Bit more expensive than some but worth paying more, seems really good quality and this amount for the price is really good value. If you're not sure try a smaller tin first which is what I did, then paid the extra for much more product. :-)

First time trying any protein powder, and no complaints at all!
I really like the flavour of this protein powder. Sometime I mix it into my morning yogurt with fruit, nuts and seeds, and it mixes fine. Mostly I just mix it with water for a post-workout drink, and it mixes pretty well, not really any lumps, and only tiny if any. I don't shake it in a bottle, just mix it in a glass with a spoon. It seems to be doing the job, but I am no expert here.

I've been buying Solgar chocolate protein power for years. Mixed easily, no after taste. Loved it. My last order I ended up with the "Grass Fed" version. I thought they just changed the packaging... I was wrong. The first thing I noticed was it was really hard to get mixed. Ended up with a glass full of sticky lumps. For minutes I had to mash them against the inside of the glass with a spoon (like a mortar and pestle) to get it drinkable. Then there is the "new-formulation" which, to me, tastes terrible. Very strong after taste. Unfortunately I bought two big cans of it, so being a frugal-miser I'll pinch my nose and suffer through them but these will be the last cans of Solgar I buy (unless I can find the previous version).

I started strength training over a month ago and this is my second time ordering Whey To Go. I've trued several protein drinks including Muscle Milk, but have found that most products either have too much artificial sugars or other health hazards or are so diluted, you have to drink several cup fulls (3-5) just to get the required amount post-workout, not to mention they taste pretty bad or overly sugary (with artificial flavors) and you end up trying to avoid it. Whey To Go manages to give you concentrated protein content that comes from a healthy source and doesn't taste too bad (with water and a good mixing bottle, it tastes somewhat like watered down chocolate). I am able to have just two scoops post-workout to fulfill my protein requirement and even with water, the drink is barely 1/2 a liter. I am able to drink fairly comfortably and really helps with my workout. Used on a regular basis, (nearly 1-2 cups a day) this will last you longer than other protein powders. A great combination of healthy and tasty, this is one of the best whey protein powers on the market!

I've been using this for something like 15+ years. It blends better than any other protein powder Ive tried and I appreciate that it is unsweetened. I've recently tried some vegan pea protein powders, etc, but they just can't compared with the flavor and mouth-feel of this product. Have been ordering it on Amazon since my local Whole Foods store in Monterey, CA stopped carrying it (likely to promote their own brand?). I've since moved to a rural area and this is the only way to ensure I can get it. I began using Solgar's Vanilla flavor in smoothies but found I *really don't like the taste*, which, while they call it a "natural flavor" is doubtless produced by GMO yeasts. If you want to learn more about that truly important issue, search for "Vanilla Queen" and learn from her site how these so-called "natural" vanilla flavors actually threaten the sustainability of *real vanilla* production. Vanilla is actually my favorite flavor but Solgar's is unfortunately really fake-tasting. Too bad. So I switched over to the cocoa flavor and my typical breakfast is what I call a "hot chocolate smoothie": 16 oz unsweetened almond milk (I use vanilla flavored), warmed 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder (don't use Dutch process if you want the flavonoids) heaping 1/4 teaspoon good quality Stevia powder (sometimes I add a couple droppersful of liquid) 1 tablespoon flax seed oil 1 measure Solgar Whey To Go chocolate flavored protein powder I usually whisk ingredients as I add them, then since this is a warm drink, I use an immersion blender to bend it. Yum – satisfying, sugar-free, high protein breakfast!

Usually people who drink protein shakes are those who workout and try to get better results from their gym time by adding to their diet extra.... protein... for faster recovery and larger muscle mass. Such people should NORMALLY also watch their carbs... less fat means leaner body and muscles. (carbs = fat) While this powder is awesome in that it does not contain any unnatural JUNK (which most other powders do), it under-delivers on it's actual purpose: PROTEIN! and it also contains relatively lots of carbs. Their serving size is rather small and delivers only 16gm of protein, and 8gm of carbs, 6gm of which are sugar. You can actually SEE the sugar in the powder... 16gm of protein is really not enough for most people so you would need to take 1.5 servings bringing you to a total of 24gm protein and 9gm sugar. Just for comparison - a double chocolate-chip cookie will have about 12 grams of sugar! So this shake will make it hard for you to lose fat. It tastes "ok" and it actually dissolves better in water than in milk. (milk will add more sugar to your shake but that's another story). Solgar should cut the amount of sugar in this product by half, that would make it a much better choice for many... you can't really feel it anyway and people who buy this shake buy it because its healthier, not because it tastes good. If they wanted something that tastes good they would order a pizza. So adding those carbs just doesn't make senses. I am amazed at how easily this mixes. The first few times I used it, I mixed it in a Magic Bullet with 8oz whole milk and half of a frozen banana. I drank it right away and you could barely taste the powder. I thought the banana would be necessary to help conceal the texture of the whey protein, which is what I've done with other protein powders in the past. For this one, I still ad a few frozen banana slices, but it's okay without them. Just a personal taste preference. Now, I just use one of those blender bottles with the wire whisk ball (sans banana). It blends so smoothly. If I think ahead, I mix it the night before so that I can just grab it on my way out the door in the morning (to drink after I workout). It doesn't taste exactly like chocolate milk, but the taste is still pretty good. It's definitely the best-tasting chocolate flavor I've found in any protein powder. It's great that it isn't an artificial flavor, it really is made of dutch cocoa powder. Also, no weird hormones or chemical additives. And it's gluten-free. Apparently, Whey to Go protein powders used to be soy-free, but this one does contain soy. Just a heads-up for anyone who has to avoid soy. I plan to try the natural vanilla flavor next. I went with the natural chocolate for my first try of this brand because it was a better buy in the 41oz size.
