Bought this ax the Parker brand petrol hedge trimmer I had refused to work. Took a chance as such a cheap price but have 50 foot x 6 foot high and 3 feet deep hedge and they trimmed it with no problem and the battery lasted over an hour. Anyone know where you can buy spare batteries for this product?

This is the first power tool that I have been able to use effectively being left handed. The safety switch rotates allowing you to switch hands and for me, this is ideal, as usually I have to hold the handle in the wrong hand. When I first picked the trimmer up I thought it was heavy, but actually it's no effort to hold with both hands whilst in use. The blade is very long allowing you to reach further and cut a wide area. Overall it feels well balanced. It's very straightforward and easy to use. The instruction booklet is mostly about safety, as really, there isn't anything much to say regarding how to operate it. I feel comfortable using it and I much prefer that it's cordless to having a cable as it's safer and you're not tied to using it, in my case, with an extension reel because I don't have an outside power source. The battery does charge up in about one hour and provides sufficient run time for me to trim shrubs and small over hanging branches. If you have a lot of hedge to trim though, the fact that there's only one battery might be a downside, and as other reviewers have mentioned, it does not appear possible to source a replacement. This may affect the longevity and given a choice, I'd want to know that spare batteries were available to buy, just in case. It is powerful and the blade is a very sharp cutter. It's not overly loud. It's not made from the highest quality plastic, it just doesn't feel like a premium product in this regard, but nonetheless it's reasonably priced and it works perfectly well.

The actual trimmer is not too heavy, but its not lightweight either. Its a decent weight to feel like youre actually doing more than swish it about. The blades chewed through the box hedges and a huge wall of laurel and ivy that keeps overgrowing from the garden behind ours with ease. This took just over an hour to do and there was still life in the battery. Quite pleased with this trimmer. Its not over or under powered for my needs.

Utter rubbish, battery won't charge after less than a year, avoid!

I've found this hedge trimmer to be a very good tool for a small garden hedge row. I used it for 30 mins and it cut without any problems. the blades cut very clean and no problems with a lack of power. however this is a small light hedge row and you may have issues with more developed branches. All in all it did what it needed to do without fault. I'm more than happy with this tool and the results. I'm more than happy to recommend.

Safer than corded but not quite as powerful

Delivery was early, looked a bit cheap but it does a great job so very happy with it

Unfortunately i was not impressed with this product... I only used it once before the gears or belt that drive the cutterd began slipping... I am unable to return it because i have discarded the packageing that it came in which seems to be a condition of returns...
