I bought this because my kids are constantly leaving the front door wide open — and with huskies in the house, that’s a recipe for a runaway situation! The first time my dad came over after I installed it, he thought I was holding the door shut because of how much pressure it applies. It really snaps the door closed with force, which is exactly what I needed. Installation was easy, the size is just right, and it feels very durable. For the price, I was seriously impressed. One thing to note: it closes the door quickly and firmly, so if you have small children or elderly family members, you’ll want to help them with the door. My kid is 15, so that’s not an issue for us. The installation video is a must watch, as the written instruction are less helpful. Be certain the use the template in closed either closer. The door jam for my door did not resemble the one in the video, but I made it work. At the end of the installation it. Works quite well.

Bought this closer to dampen the door from slamming shut. The door had just enough force to close the door but would slam making a lot of noise. The closer did dampen the closing pretty well but it was too difficult to open requiring excessive force. My wife was almost unable to open the door with this closer installed. Not a good solution at all. They need to go back to the drawing board on this one and do some usability testing before putting it out for sale.

So I purchased another closer about half the price of this one and it broke within a month so I ordered this one. Now the other one was spring loaded unlike this one and so far this one is so much better in every way possible. Now I was skeptical due to the price since I just bought a piece of junk but the was easy to install didn't even have to adjust it it was perfect right from the install. For the price you can't beat it now how long it will last only time will tell but a of 4/8/25 so far so good

It does the job but toooooo good. It makes the door 1000#’s yes it does close the door and softly so it does not slam but my girl has been push down and now I have taken it off in only three days of use. So if it wasn’t so hard to open the door it would be perfect.

Tight operator, but closes my shed door

I got tired of reminding my wife to close the door into the garage. This solved the problem. ;-)
