LIFETIME 60253 Outdoor Convertible Bench, 55 Inch, Harbor Gray

This bench is awesome. Ive wanted one for a long time. My parents have some up north made from wood and they are the coolest most valuable seating options available. Not sure yet where we will keep this, but for now, its on the patio so we can sit and look out at the kids playing in the yard (: My kids are hype about having snacks on it. Its very sturdy, there is zero wobble. It didnt take two people to build it by any means. I did it myself no problem. The hinges are the most time consuming aspect of the assembly but straight forward and simple. I did use my own tools rather than the ones they provided and that eliminated alot of frustration, I'm sure. It moves easily, i love that there is a simple lever to switch it from bench to table. Even my 5 year old can do it (: the best part, be far, is that when there is no bar to climb over when you convert it to the table. You can just slide right in. This grants more space for additional people. Can comfortably fit 4 kids on this bench, or 3 adults (: Fingers crossed it lasts a "lifetime"

Love the benches! Purchased the gray benches for a 4th of July family picnic. Provided great space for seating and food. It took my husband and cousin a long time to put together the first one, but the second one didn’t take as long. Someone sprayed bug repellent on the benches by mistake on the first day, so now they are partially stained with oil. Arghh! It was a mistake but the benches still look great and sit on the patio all day. They are solid and have withstood some horrific weather this year. Love love love! Best purchase of the picnic. It’s costly but worth it.

Well this is my third purchase and two that I've got together they're great tables they work inside the house outside front patio back patio just need clear weather

I received a gift card for my birthday and I wanted a place to sit while the dogs ran around the yard. The features of this bench that include conversion to a table and the faux wood slats made it a wonderful gift. I really like the modern, streamlined design. Very linear and smooth. I put it together by myself with some careful and creative ways to hold this while I watched that. The hardware on 'blister' card's made the assembly quite easy, and the instructions were very well written. Whoever put this item together for market did a super job. I was happy to see 'Made in Vietnam', instead of China. 🙂 After reading some of the older reviews, I could not relate to the issues many people had experienced. I can see from their pictures that there have been some modifications made by the manufacturer than might prevent some common problems. The slats are screwed through the slat, recessed/counter-sunk (see pictures), and are anchored in the steel framing below. The hex screws are recessed and level with the slat. The hinges may have been improved as I have no problem performing the conversion to a table, and back to bench. It is an easy and fluid motion with mine. I would suggest that 2 people move the bench when necessary. Not only is it heavy, but the 'Feet' have rubber/plastic pre-installed inserts; I would not suggest dragging this across any surface. My only issue (See photos) is with one of the hinge plates, which there are 4, and they should be identical. The last plate I installed is missing a hole for a bolt. Ugh! I was seconds from being finished and the last bolt would not go all the way through. After I realized it, I was frustrated and could not bring myself to take things apart and drill a hole. The hinge plates are quite thick, 3/16" , but should be simple to drill through when disassembled...impossible to drill into when assembled. Ugh again! If you purchase it, stack the 4 plates together and make sure they are identical to each other. They should all be the same size and all the same holes should be pre-drilled. I am enjoying the bench many times every day. I hope you enjoy it too.

Solid construction that will last. Typical ikea-like instructions. Hour to assemble.

Love this convertible bench! It was easy to put together but it did take me about an hour. I got to hastey and made a mistake. Take your time to really pay attention to the instructions and get a friend to help. It'll go much quicker.

Poco da dire; prese due panchine per poter sfruttare la possibilitá di affiancarle e farle diventare un tavolo grande con sedute, sono estremamente solide e pesanti. Facile da montare se si ha già una certa manualità in ambito “fai da te”, ipotizzo qualche difficoltá per chi non abbia esperienza nel montaggio mobili e similari. Al momento estremamente soddisfatto, dato che la panca è solida, comoda, facilissima da “manovrare” grazie alle leve che permettono la trasformazione da panchina a tavolo in un secondo e con una sola mano.

When I say good for small spaces it is a large bench because it needs the extra space to fold into a table, but I have this in a balcony at the moment so it does mean that I can concur into a table when needed which I really like, have it in grey which looks tasteful in my opinion so am very happy with this. Built single handed so not too difficult to put together. Overall am very pleased. Is sturdy, cleans easily and have a second one so that I can convert j to a full picnic table in the future if it comes off of the balcony. Because it’s not wood I can wipe any rain water straight off so that nobody gets a wet bottom when seated.

These benches are really well made. I love that the back folds down so you have a table when you want. We bought two ,one for each side of the fire pit. You can put two together to make a picnic table when the backs folded down or side by side for bleachers. Not only that they are comfortable.

Saw this bench advertised bough practically double the price elsewhere but saw it here after searching online and ordered straight away. Wanted something small but sturdy that would last longer than a wooden bench. T s fit the bill perfectly. Two of us put it together in about half an hour. I especially liked that all the bolts and hardware were labelled well in a blister packet so easy to handle and find what you are looking for. The clips were tricky to put onto the pole. We had to use a screwdriver to prise it open and the springs were also a little tough but once together it’s a great bench. Easy to convert with one person. We keep ours as a bench but we will probably convert to a seat over winter and move against the wall.
