The loop broke off my Expedition key, and I only have one key so I can't program another. My options were 1. Pay out the nose at the dealer for another key and then again for another transponder key to be cut and program the third myself, 2. Have a regular non-transponder key cut and hide this one somewhere in my steering column and forfeit the transponder lock as a security feature, or 3. Figure out how to not lose my key and put off getting another. This thing fit the bill and the budget perfectly. While it adds a little bulk to the key, it was a very simple solution to a bit of broken plastic and put my key back on my keyring where it belongs.

Good product. Good quality. Tried to use it as is, but like other folks noted that can make using the key challenging. You don't have the range to push it into a lock or ignition fully, move it freely, and extract it. I put the key into the case, pushed it towards the buttom/opening ans drilled a small hole just above the key. That did help. But even snuggled up, I still sometimes struggled to turn the key on the ignition. Sounds strange but it's an issue. Would recommend this still. It seems durable. It's soft leather. And it doesn't look too bad. Just be mindful and patient when you use your key in this case and you'll be fine.

The leather is solid, which should promote durability, and the key loop is a great touch. Here's the biggest issue you are going to face (and why I have it rated as a 3): the leather stitching at the bottom end of the key. Those pieces are understandably needed but cause the key to NOT FIT into the car ignition receiver. I had to take scissors and cut it down just so the car would start. I had to trim so much out that they key could, with ample force, pull right out of the sleeve. Know your car's ignition and how far the key must seat to start. If not, you will have to make a modification as I did.

This item was a such a life-saver when the end of my key broke off so it would not go on my keychain anymore. This leather is thick and a good value for the money, and the button is very strong so I feel my key is protected and will not fall off. It is a good snug fit.

This works amazing on 2010 ford focus key... the ring on my one and only car key broke and spending 200 bucks on a key from dealership to replace is just not affordable to me and I can take care of that cheaper route but needed something immediatley as it is the only one i have so decided to give this a shot... so far it works as advertised... the screw that holds the key in the pouch is nice and gives great peace of mind not worrying if it is going to snap open and lose the only key I have until I can obtain a spare... it does not interfere with 2010 ford focus ignition or the deep seated door key hole for this car but I believe it does say will not work on those types of locks but at least this worked for me... its a tad strange getting used to realizing it's your car key but I will greatly take that any day... the price was great for what you get and how well it has held up so far... inwill update if it wears and breaks prematurely down the road... I would've used thicker leather but it's good ... We Ford owners at least with that style key know how frustrating it is for the plastic ring to break is and I recommend giving this a shot or maybe doing it before ypu simply drop your keys on the sidewalk and it breaks as it is only a matter of time before it does and then you will be scrambling to get one of these as what happened to me...
