Most product failures are User error
This product requires some patience to use. Understand that this product is UNFLAVORED, so it is not recommended to add to plain water and drink. You WILL hate the taste of you do that. If you want to drink it straight, add some chicken bouillon to it as well. If you want to add it to a soup or a stew to increase your protein intake, I suggest putting the powder in a separate glass, adding HOT water to it, about 2 cups, then mixing it with a coffee frother or in a mixing bowl with a handheld or automatic mixer. This product is high in collagen so it will froth when you mix it, but the froth dies down when added to soup. Wait for your broth to settle a bit, and then add slowly to soup while mixing. If your mixture is clumping either your mix speed is too low or you have too much powder to liquid ratio. Hope this helps

Dont buy even for $1 if it were sooo, but highly recomend their beef bone broth.
Wow The beef broth is great but the chicken sets off the bitter buds, wish I had read the other reviews. Do the people who make this taste their own product? Fix the product before it pulls your business down, taste artificial because the bitter way over rides the chicken flavor and the sweetness, if I didn't know it was chicken I could not tell what it was, the what is this is soooooo overriding. LIKE I SAID THE BEEF BONE BROTH SOOOO MUCH BETTER< NO BITTER.

Really great, pure product, no fillers
This is a good product, I don't understand the low rating. No fillers, no artificial flavors, absolutely nothing but dried chicken bone broth. I add it to soups and drink it plain. It dissolves fairly well with a whisk. It does get a few lumps sometimes but a few minutes of whisking and cooking dissolves them. It's a great source of protein and collagen, and is the best value for price that I've found. Most other bone broth powders have fillers and additives, and I don't want that.

for soups, stews and sauces
this is straight up boiled chicken bones. no seasoning whatsoever. have you ever sipped plain boiled chicken bone broth? yeah, bland and not tasty. and this is also NOT for mixing into smoothies (savory smoothie anyone?🤢🤮). I certainly never throw chicken in my blender with strawberries, blueberries or any other fruit. smh... on the label: good for adding to soups and sauces. I chose soup. it does have a very high salt content, so I started by adding by the tablespoon to approx 32oz boiled water and built up my flavor from there. adding mirepoix, umami, sasón and sage to taste made all the difference. that's really where I built such a good, comforting savory flavor. as long as you use this as a base to build savory, umami flavor on, it's a good value. looking to add to your sweet smoothies? swipe left, this isn't it.

Great for Cooking — NOT for Sipping
I bought this hoping to use it as a high-protein bouillon alternative—but let me be clear: do not drink this straight. On its own, it smells like mold and tastes like burnt chemicals. I couldn’t get it down as a sipping broth. That said, once I started experimenting in the kitchen, it turned out to be surprisingly useful. I’ve used a full scoop in homemade chicken Alfredo sauce—delicious. It blended in perfectly, added a solid protein boost, and no weird aftertaste. I also tried 1/4 scoop in 1 cup of uncooked rice (added to the water as it cooked), and I couldn’t taste it at all. No strange flavor, just an extra bit of nutrition. One mixing tip: the powder can be clumpy if added straight to liquid. I’ve found it blends much easier if you first mix it with another powder (like a dry seasoning blend or protein powder), then add that to your liquid. Helps it disperse without that gritty cloud effect. So: if you’re looking for a subtle, high-protein addition to savory meals, this can work very well. But if you’re hoping for a standalone sipping broth or a flavor enhancer straight out of the jar, you’ll likely be disappointed.

The Worst Tasting Bone Broth Ever
I was quite excited when I saw this nice jug of Chicken Bone Broth. I love sipping a hot cup of bone broth for breakfast and lunch and I was pleasantly surprised to see Now Bone Broth contains 29 grams of protein in an 8 oz cup. What a sweet way to get more protein in my system I thought. I hurried and bought 2 jugs so I thought I was set for the next month. I even went to set it up as a subscription. I made me a huge 16 oz. Serving to start off with and I honestly think this may be the nasties more bitter product on plant earth. I am shocked that any taste tester at Now would say “You got it, that’s some mighty tasty bone broth Jim. We need to get this tasty and delicious product to the market because it’s going to be a hit.” I say this joking but this stuff will peel the paint off your walls so be careful. All I’m getting from this is I’m out more than $50 bucks. I tried to take it to the soup kitchen and was kicked out and ask never to return again especially since I was trying to poison the bums. Update: I didn’t want to waste my money so I experimented using a half serving of Now Bone Broth and a half serving on Lonolife Chicken Bone Broth. Lonolife Bone Broth is the best tasting bone broth ever and I learned if I would mix Now and Lonolife together than it changed the taste from horrible to very good. With Now you would get a lot more protein grams.

Not for Me — Very Unpleasant Taste
I really wanted to like the NOW Foods Chicken Bone Broth because I was looking for something simple, high-protein, and easy on the stomach. Unfortunately, this just wasn’t it for me. The flavor was very unpleasant — not like chicken broth at all — and no matter how I mixed it or seasoned it, I couldn’t get past the taste or smell. I appreciate the nutritional profile, but the overall experience made it hard to use consistently. If taste is important to you, you may want to try a different brand.

Perfect for my dogs. They both love it! I add it to their dinner. Dissolves easily with water in the microwave. Be aware this is pure bone broth. No salt, no spices, no flavouring. Again, perfect for dogs. May not be very tasty for people.
