I got this set mostly because I wanted to use the peel-off base coat. I am not a fan of doing soak-off with gel so I gave this a try.I tested this with gel-x nails. I used 1 coat of the peel-off base coat & that worked great. I like to change my nails, so after 1 week, I was able to use some cuticle cutters to sort of pry the edges of the gel-x nail off until the whole nail completely peeled off. My natural nails did not get damaged in the process although it did hurt a little bit lolThe 2nd time I tried the peel-off base coat, I used 2 thin coats. Doing this made the removal process easier - I’m not sure why but moving forward I will use 2 coats if I’m going to apply gel-x nails.I can’t speak on longevity because I change my nails on an almost weekly basis but so far no chipping has occurred while I have both base & top coat on.Top coat worked very well too. Left a nice, glossy smooth finish. Having both this peel-off gel base coat & top coat set is great value for your money!

I loved using the peel off base coat. The nails come off easily without damage as long as you prep the nail properly!

The product is nice. It dries pretty quick. There is no stickiness after it dries. For the price you get it at I feel it is worth it. I am just not happy with the fact that if you wear it by itself, and don't put a polish over the top, the hardener will over time discolor. It starts to turn brown or blackish and when I tried to use nail polish remover to take it off, it didn't come off. So I have just been clipping my nails as they grow out to get the polish off them. So if you are looking for something that is chip resistance, this one would do the trick. It is long lasting and worth what it costs. I think I will try it again as a base coat when I start painting my nails again. It definitely works for hardening and strengthening your nails.

Even after only two uses I can tell there is a difference. My nails are already stronger than they were before I used it. Gives nails a little shine and is very smooth!

This does work for being more gentle on your nails instead of regular and soaking or filing off. Putting the peel off base coat allows for a gentle peel with your fingernail or a tool without damaging your nail bed. It does not last as long as the other and will start to peel your manicure off more quickly, like in 2 weeks or then on. The top coat works just as always. It's safer I think for your nail beds if you are concerned of damage, but it won't last as long as you may want.
