My daughter shared these books with all her class , they enjoyed reading them for the whole year .

This is by far the best series in the whole warrior cats world. It’s a good starter series too if you wanted to read before into the wild as they are the prequel to them. Really enjoyed every single book there was lots of deaths, drama and blood but it gives an inside into how the clans began and how star clan showed themselves. I love that they have connected characters from the other series into this one so you can start piecing it all together and fill in any gaps in the plot lines. Highly recommend this series.

For Christmas my daughter (11 yr old) had the 1st 2 sets in the series (books1-12) and she finished those off in about 4 weeks. So she asked for the prequel for her birthday and she was very pleased. I've had a read of a few chapters and I can also say I was sucked into the story and wanted to carry on, but she wouldn't let me. I'll have to get them out of her room secretly so I can read the rest of the book I started. She has now started writing her own cat adventure books and creating her own world and characters after reading these books. Would definitely recommend these books as they have not only made my daughter get back into reading but also made her want to start writing and creating her own graphic novels. The only issue is that there are so many of these books, she'll be wanting the next series and then the next and so on........ Going to cost me a small fortune..........!

13 year old daughter really enjoying all the series.

I managed to find a series of some books my granddaughter loves very much at the last minute before her birthday after trying various book shops. They arrived the next morning in pristine condition and it saved the day.

She was thrilled and started right away

I first read Warrior Cats when I was about nine years old. I borrowed all the books completely out of order from the library. Then I begged my parents to buy me the series for my birthday; they totally came through and bought the first series and the second (which I had no idea existed) and from there was born my love of the series. Yeah, they're childish (I'm twenty one now) and formulaic but I can't help but love these books. Dawn of the Clans leaves behind our favourite cats and travels back in time to, uh, the dawn of the clans. We follow their beginnings and I thought this series was so well done. Full of drama, twists and turns, and it brought a breath of fresh air to the series. Fantastic.

A prequel series for the Warrior cat books. I prefer reading in release order instead of timeline order, BUT this works well as a first exposure to the Warriors series! There are small references of the series in DotC (Dawn of the Clans), but they aren't necessary to know to fully enjoy the arc. DotC has the same flaws as the other Warriors arcs, inconsistencies in the writing between books. Despite that, I consider this to be the best Warrior cats arc because of the characters. Almost every character feels fully realized. Not everyone gets screen time, but they still feel interesting and memorable. Everyone has their own goals and motivations, which at times clash. My biggest gripe is that the writing feels like they ran out of room. It feels like they had ambitions for a 2nd arc but were told otherwise.

I bought this series for my 10 year old niece. As a Teacher-Librarian, this series was flying off my shelves and my niece loves reading and cats so I decided this was the perfect series for her. She ended up staying up past her bedtime and read by flashlight to finish these books. She loved the storyline and sense of adventure. She even let some of her friends borrow these books.
