Having used an earlier version of 'Fizz Keeper' for years, it was gratifying to find they could now be bought in the UK at such a reasonable price. The newer version works better. Easy to use, a brilliant invention. Even half a litre in a two litre bottle stays fizzy with easy pumping of air onto the remaining drink to retain gas pressure. I found it was still fizzy four days after opening- but could possibly stay fizzy for longer?

I am never sure how much to believe negative reviews but this is honestly the first I have ever written and it's only because I found the product dangerous. I read the instructions said that this worked best under low pressure, but couldn't work out how low that might be (ie how many times to pump the cap) as there wasn't guidance that was that specific. The cap worked well, keeping the fizz, but after the third use, when I undid it, it fired off like a champagne cork and hit the ceiling and broke! I was really glad that it hadn't gone in the direction of my face and my young children weren't in the room at the time as I think it could have caused some serious damage.

Item worked, but took a lot of effort to fill 1l size bottles, never mind 2l bottles that are 3/4 empty. Not made to take typical punishment. Probably reflected in the short returns window. I'd avoid. Failed after around 29 bottles.

I had one years ago, and was reminded of its minor problems. The pump does not always create good pressure: seems to work better if the pump is wetted from.the bottle. Once the bottle is over half empty, the remaining gas will already have been largely lost. Once re-pressurised can be difficult to open. Reasonably good tool with a one litre bottle.

This works well enough but you need to make sure that there is a bit of moisture in the cylinder of the pump. If this is not lubricated then the seal is not very good and does not pressurise the bottle. I usually if the Fizz keeper turn the bottle upside down to get a bit of liquid in the pump mechanism and then seems to work well

I bought this to keep my opened but not finished tonic water fresh and fizzy. Unfortunately with the new style caps (which remain attached to the bottle), this device does not form a good seal, and is consequently useless for the purpose it was bought for. I expect it would fit on an older type of fizzy drink bottle, and work very well.

Liked the product for performing it's function very well. Didn't like the extortionate price for an easily constructed article made of a cheap material. An example of a cornered market if there ever was one.

I have been looking for these for a long time, until I found them on Amazon, with a lot of searching. I used to have 2 of them many years ago, but they somehow got lost. They do keep the fizz in your pop/soda if you use these correctly. To keep the fizz in pop, you have to pump air "into" the bottle. You have to pump many times, especially if it is a 2-litre bottle. Pump (many times) until the bottle is firm and you are good to go. This acts as a pump and a lid for the bottle. I am so happy to have found these.

It is a good product , just need to put in a little work of pumping but then all's good

We have been using this brand of fizz keeper for many years and are very satisfied with the pump cap. A few pumps and the soft drink keeps it's fizz. Like every other product, it does wear out after time and many pumps. Getting 4 pumps in one order lasts for years. Good product

Als ich nach so einem "Teil" suchte, wusste ich nicht, dass es so etwas gibt. Daher einfach mal im Web herumgegrast. Und tatsächlich, es funktioniert total zuverlässig. Kurz gesagt: Kohelsäure bleibt da, wo sie hingehört - in der Flasche! :-)

This would probably fit a US soda bottle, but the ones in europe have a shorter thread section and the bottle lid remains attached to the bottle. Even if you remove the lid and use strong scissors to take the plastic ring that holds the lid, it still doesn't make a seal. So we had to return it.
