This adapter will not lock the SDS Plus bits in place, and they can fall out of the chuck while working. I only recently tried to use it and discovered the problem. Too late to return per Amazon return policy. I'm not impressed and do not recommend this product.

Functions properly and has a nice weight to it.

used it for two days of pretty rough chipping and drilling and still working.its also great as an extension.

Received a defective item: detent pin broken. Inserted bit falls out. Lousy build quality. Will not buy again.

If you have an SDS Max rotary hammer, you will definitely need this adapter piece in order to use SDS Plus bits with your machine. It's very well made and snaps right in. I have put it to good use with a trench I had to make in a concrete slab and it has performed as expected. I can see myself getting may years of use from this adapter. Highly recommended, especially for Amazon's low listed selling price.

Broke on first use

I used this adapter to use some of my sds plus tools to help me break up some concrete on my SDS Max drill. The bits are held nice and secure and I didn't have any issues. Great way to expand the capabilities of my SDS Max drill.
