Not a straight forward one for one swop. Soldering required.
Purchased to replace my Hygena cooker hood which would only work if I held the push buttons in and wiggled them about. Fitting is not too straightforward and you need a crosspoint screwdriver, a soldering iron, an electricians flat point screwdriver and either a camera or pen and paper. Isolate the mains supply and remove the two grill filters in the hood to allow access. Using a crosspoint screwdriver remove the two screws that hold the mounting plate. Carefully remove the unit from the hood and unscrew the mounting plate from the plastic case, 2 screws. Open the plastic case by undoing the 4 screws on the case. Now is a good time to photograph or write down the wire positions. In total there are 8 wires. Unscrew the brown and blue from the plastic block at the end of the board using a small flatblade screwdriver. Then unsolder the remaining 6 wires from the old board. Carefully pull off the push buttons caps from the old board and fit then to the new board switches. Using your photo or wiring plan as a guide connect the brown and blue wires into the block on the new board. It is easier then to solder in this order Brown, blue, then on the thicker cable do white to C, blue to 1, red to 2 and black to 3. The board is presoldered so just heat up and push the bare wire through when the solder is hot. If it is difficult to push through try pushing a needle or pin through to create a hole first. Once all cables are firmly attached to the board place the board back inside the plastic case ensuring no cables get snagged. Screw the case together with the 4 screws and the mount it back onto the metal plate. Put the case back inside the hood and line up the push buttons and red lamp with the holes in the hood. Resecure the plate with the 2 small grub screws to ensure the unit does not move. Now push the buttons in and out a few times to ensure they are fully seated onto the switches. Replace the 2 filter grills, connect the mains supply and test the unit. If in any doubt contact an electrician, this job is not a simple plug and play.

Cooker hood fixed
Good quality. Arrived on time. I manage to fix my cooker hood after replacing the old burned PCB. All you need is a soldering gun and a screw driver.

Replaced blown Printer circuit board (PCB) on Hygena APP2440
Required soldering but once that’s done it works a treat. You’ll need a soldering iron. I bought solder but didn’t need it because there was enough solder on the PCB to do the job. Photo the old PCB before removing wires so you connect in the right order. You’ll also need to figure out how go work at height… see my Heath Robinson workbench!!

Good product, good service from company
Good product, good service from company. Will definately use again. PCB was slightly different to the original but it didn't take long to sort out. Quick service, product was delivered very rapidly.

Good value
This piece of kit was exact replacement at fraction of price that Hygena wanted to charge. Delivery was delayed although seller kept me fully in the picture with option to cancel order if necessary. Upon arrival it was fixed within approximately 15 minutes (some soldering required) & after several months is still working perfectly.

Hygena Cooker Hood Switch
Switch arrived well within the specified time. Ability to use soldering iron needed to remove old switch and install the new one. A bit fiddly but not too difficult to do. Installed and working fine so far. Lets hope it last a bit longer than the original switch. Would purchase from this vendor again.

Switch: Cooker Hood: Hygena Part number W0000051 replaces part number
I chose this switch purely on its price, and I am happy to state this is a good five star purchase ,it came a day earlier then expected even better,as my wife wanted the cooker hood working asap. This replace a similer item costing more then double from another non amazon source. The soldering is a touch tricky ,just take care the connections are the same .I took photos of the first one just as a back up.

Exactly what I wanted
Exact like for like unbranded replacement for the original which failed. Also, had to buy a soldering iron as some soldering to get the wires off the old one and connect the new is required. Was a bit of fun and games trying to solder in mid air so find a high table/rest that nearly reaches the bottom of the hood to make your life easier.
