We actually measured and the opening is 1 and 1/2 inch or 38mm.There is a scale printed on the tool both in inches and metric.Hope this helps

I bought one of these for a grandson last year. It was made in Spain. I have had an identical Channellock wrench for many years, also made in Spain.

The wrench is made in Spain. It is outsourced through a company called irega. The wideazz channellock is the exact same wrench. But I'm brand true so I always get Klein for some reason.
