I purchased this and fiberglass cloth to make an emergency repair of a 12' tall Skeleton yard decoration. The giant skeleton had fallen over during a nasty surprise thunderstorm and landed on the shoulder. The impact cracked the right arm and shoulder housing and broke several plastic ribs. After failing with epoxy and other plastic adhesives, I switched to a fiberglass solution. Using the Bondo Fiberglass Cloth (20128, 8 Sq Ft) and this resin, I was able to rebuild the broken shell of the plastic bones and harden the shoulder, arms, neck, and ribs like iron. Literally just brushed the resin onto the fiberglass strips and let it cure. I had never worked with either product, so the surprise at the ease of use was extraordinary. The resin brushes on like a thick stain or PVA glue. It bonded with the fiber cloth and created an extremely strong fiberglass shell. I ended up using it to reinforce several other decorations. It does not take much, and even after multiple fixes, I still had a lot of resin left over for emergency repairs. If you need to fix something, especially outdoors, this stuff works amazingly well. I only used it with the fiberglass cloth, so I cannot speak for the resin as a stand-alone product. However, based on how well it worked with the added cloth, I have no doubt it would work just fine as a bonding resin without the cloth. Highly recommend this product for repairs or strengthening. Great for Holiday repairs and rebuilds, especially if you have older models of props and decorations for outdoor display that are no longer sold.

I always trust JB-WELD products, and this is no exception. It performed exactly as advertised. Do make certain that you use a proper respirator and ventilation; this stuff has potent vapors. Also be mindful of how quickly it sets up. If you mix up more than you can use in 2-3 minutes, you will end up wasting a lot of resin. This is all covered in the directions, just be certain to read and follow.

This crap was no good, solidified in the can ! It’s a good product but the distribution people knew it was bad and shipped it anyway. Selling their old stuff to mail order people ! Be aware of the seller !

This stuff is the bomb. Working on an old John boat. Ceiling up the wood transom. This stuff is a great way to do it with. Highly recommend. It arrived in good packaging and no leaks. Worth the money.
