This was a Christmas gift so I do not have any personal experience with it. The person who received it said it was just what they needed and was very happy with it.

Having extremely thick hair that can be unruly at times, I find that a hair pomade or wax is best suited to tame my Spanish locks. I was naturally inquisitive when I saw GK Hair's Global Keratin Shaping Hair Wax and all the good reviews it had, so, I figured I'd give a new product a shot in hopes for some product change.Upon receipt, I realized that you get a sizeable quantity of this hair product which somewhat justifies the current cost that can be a bit on the steep side. The hair wax itself is malleable upon handling and it spreads itself evenly and easily on my palms as I prepared to run it through my hair with my fingers. I immediately noticed the pretty potent smell this item carried with it, almost like a hybrid between baby powder and carpet deodorizer. It's not a bad smell, I just can't see myself smelling like this at work as i go in and out of meetings with clients because it is that strong. As for hold, it did okay at maintaining my hair's high shape til noon but fell flat about halfway through my work day - the texture was definitely a strong point for this wax though! As for having a "matte" finish, this wax made my hair very shiny as soon as it fell flat but keep in mind, I have very thick hair.Straying from the hair product I know, in hopes of discovering a better one was not in the cards for me but I do applaud GK Hair in the their attempts to create "whipped wax." The price tag is a bit more than what I would pay but I could see this hair tool working great for someone who has much thinner than me; 1-star deducted for the overpowering smell that concealed my cologne.

It smells good, holds flyaways in place without the residue that gel often leaves behind. Does make hair a bit greasy after though.

I bought this to use on my 3 year old's hair, he's been very interested in spiking it up and styling it lately. This melts easily in my hands and applies easily to his hair. It has good hold and even though he is super active, it still holds for a good portion of the day. It does seem a bit pricey to me at the current price of $20 but we certainly like it.

That's what it smells like to me; the product page says the scent is "wheat grass".Hmmmm. I still say baby powder.This is marketed for Women and Men; I can't speak for other men, but for this man, having baby powder fragrance pomade hairdressing is kind of unappealing and although the smell dissipates, it just makes me want to choose one of my other products.This is otherwise a nice product, on the thicker side, paste/wax like, and just a small amount gives a good amount of control.For me (shorter hair style) it works like most of these products: when it's put in damp hair it gives a harder hold, and makes my hair look a little darker.When my hair is dry and I tussle it with my fingers, the hard hold disappears and the darker color, as well.At that point, I can still feel a 5-6 level of control and shapablilty.If I had paid the ask price, I would likely try to return this, based solely on the smell.I hope this review has enabled you to make an informed purchase decision; if so, please hit the "helpful" button below; Thanks :-).3 stars for the smell.

This is ideal for African hair but also has a great taming affect on my straight hair.There is some controversy over keritin, and it’s safe use.So I cannot ascertain it’s safety.

This works well..... it keeps the hair in position for a good few hours .. I like the product it isn't super sticky or thick which was concerning cause I didn't think it would work. But it was pretty good.
