Perfect solution for organizing bathroom electronics and hiding cords!
You never know when buying online, but I’m thrilled! We needed to organize the bathroom electronics and keep the cords off the vanity and out of the water. I thought I might need to elevate this to make sure that water on the bathroom vanity didn’t get into it. No! It comes with these little feet that I didn’t even notice in the ad (I included 2 relevant photos). Inside, the gap on the narrow end (entrance for the power cord) is elevated above its floor (photo), so no concerns about water there. It’s also made of thick, seemingly high-quality plastic (very nice surpise) and is completely waterproof. For us, the size is perfect. It does not go the full depth of the counter, which is good, as it leaves room for the power cord to exit easily. It easily fits a normal surge protector (I would suggest getting a surge protector that has sideways outlets if you have thicker plugs). See pic. At the same time, there’s plenty of space on top to place the electronics off the vanity and out-of-the-way without danger of falling. We have a smart watch charger (to charge while in the shower), a Google nest speaker (for music and weather), a shaver charger, and a toothbrush charger. I’m keeping the toothbrush charger on the vanity for now because it gets wet and gross (so I have the cord leaving from the same slot as the power cord); the rest is safely out-of-the-way of water and could comfortably fit at least one more thing (pic). As an unexpected benefit, we were using one of those surge protectors that plugs straight into the outlet (no cord). Despite it having tons of outlets on its fronts and sides, because plugs are so thick, we had to unplug something to plug in the hair dryer. This box has actually freed up on extra wall outlet! Now we can just plug the dryer directly into the wall without fiddling around. For what it’s worth, I often buy kind of cheap stuff and am fine accepting that the quality is not going to thrill me. This was a very pleasant surprise. There is a surprising level of attention to detail here that you don’t expect with this kind of thing. I am excited enough that I’m going to see what else this company has to offer.

I can't imagine a more thoughtfully designed cable box.
Yes, this is expensive for a cable box, but if you're at all concerned about functional utility and your decor it's well worth it. The finish is far superior to other boxes I've had, and the hinged lid is a very nice touch. eliminating the hassle of press-fit lids on cheaper boxes. In addition to the slots on the sides, there's a small gap beneath the lid if you need to another location through which to feed cables. Like many Yamazaki products, the company just nailed the design.

Hides the the charging cables nicely
Bought this after reading and organizing article. It functions nicely. I have a power strip inside of it and the cables for charging my phone, watch, etc. ar inside until I need to pull them out through the slot to charge an item. I've been using this for a while now and it serves the purpose of convenience while hiding the ugly cables and power strip

Great cable organization option
I ended up returning it because I use a surge protector that also has a backup battery and it’s too tall to fit inside this box, BUT I wish it had fit because I loved it otherwise! Very aesthetically modern and gives a clean look to your office space, without compromising on safety of your cords.

Pretty & Functional
I bought the Yamazaki Home Web Cable Box in White as "used" for $27.99. (Which basically meant that it's just repackaged.) I know this is weird to say about a cable box, but this one is just.... Pretty. 💜 There's an abundance of options available for cable boxes, and many of them cost far less, but I feel that this one is worth the additional expense (to clarify: It's worth what I paid.... I still don't find $40 to be reasonable). This brand is exceptionally high quality. It's not just your cheap run-of-the-mill plastic box. This one is thick and durable. Plus, the lid stays shut! I think you could probably step on this box and it would be okay. I used this box along with Dotz Pro Cord & Cable labels (to identify the cords), some self-adhesive cord clips (to guide the wires/keep them in place behind my desk), and several Cable Turtles (to customize the cord lengths). The whole system worked phenomenally! For the first time ever... There's no visible wires behind my desk! Plus, it enabled me to create a system that's easy tear down, modify, or replicate. Tip: A professional organizer taught me to think of a cable box like a drawer. You can't just stuff everything inside and expect it to be functional. So plan out cord placement carefully; eg: Direction that cords will be laying and order in which they're plugged in.

Flexible plastic lid
I love Yamazaki products in general, and I thought I would love this. The look and functionality of this box seem perfect, but it feels cheap for the price. I thought the plastic would be firmer, but it is on the bendy side. The lid will bend with pressure so you can't really put anything with weight securely on top. The lid also will smack closed which is not a big deal, but felt cheap.

Large, functional, attractive
Although it's a bit pricier than other similar cord management boxes, this by far is the largest one that I have found to fit an 8-12 outlet surge protector with room to spare. Most of the boxes I've come across just fit electrical cords for 4 devices/appliances like laptop AC adapter bricks, lamp, speakers, etc.). I like that I can hide my larger surge protector inside the box. I've bought another for my entertainment center where I can hide my Netgear hub and other power cords.

the lid does not fit properly and it keeps falling off

Yet another mundane household object done functionally, beautifully and simply. An inanimate object I feel lovingly towards. Yamazaki home are just SO GOOD. The hinge cover makes the box so much simpler to access than others cable management boxes and the continuous side opening at the top of the long side means more options for where to direct chords. i’ve see side or top openings on other boxes but their haphazard placement or busy shape detracts from the box’s minimal appearance which is the whole point of object -you don’t want to notice it. Yamazaki’s continuous opening is barely noticeable. Genius. I agree it would be great if this came in a few different sizes. that being said the large size of the box can handle a large power bar and many chords so unless you’re running an arcade out of your living room (wait, is that essentially what gamers do?) it’s unlikely the box can’t accommodate your chord concealing needs. better too big than too small.

It's great hiding cords but I was expecting something more sturdy. I will order another one to place under TV, etc where it won't be seen, for all cords plugged into safety power.
