Worked fairly well. Covered the wood without streaks. Nice even color. Only issues is with the sealing component. Its seem like it didn't sealed well ie. surface should have a clear sheen to it. So I slapped on a coat of clear. I was hoping I wouldn't have to.

I bought several Saman stain/seal/varnish color testers to try. I'm disappointed at the light color for one coat, but I'm happy enough with the product overall to use it again. My pictures are one coat of Walnut and Coffee/Chestnut blend on unfinished maple, and same colors on pine; the other pic has two coats of Prestige Grey, Dark Chestnut, and Coffee on maple and pine. These are very soft woods so I expected the color to be deeper, but two coats offers a decent color richness on the maple. This stain/seal/varnish does raise the wood grain a little but not much. Final finish is a very slight satin-like sheen (not shiny), but to be more durable, it really needs an additional top coat.

I didn’t really know what to expect, I haven’t used this before and I’m fairly new to staining and painting wood. However I stained this wheel a red colour last year and wasn’t overly excited about the colour so I bought this stain/paint thinger, and after sanding a bit of the red off, painted it. It took a while to dry, and didn’t cover the red stain as much as I thought it would, but I’m very happy with how the colour came out, with the red still showing. I did two coats with the grey colour. And although it didn’t fully cover the red previous stain, I am unbelievably happy with this result! I don’t know how many coats you would have to do to get it the straight colour on previously stained wood, but this is perfect for me. It waterproofed the wood wonderfully and looks great! I bought two other cans of different coloured stain so we will see how that weathers on raw wood 😊

It was easy to use, and dried really quickly so had to work fast. Otherwise would leave a blotch or streak. It was darker than I thought, so I did another coat of white chalk paint overtop as a white wash and turned out perfectly!
