This salt is very large sized salt crystals so grinding it down to use on food would be good. I’m not crazy about the taste of this salt, I can definitely taste the sulfur. I am using this as a gargle and in baths as well as for skin care and I’m pleased with this bamboo salt for those uses.

OK I have to admit my first thought when I saw this roasted bamboo salt was probably same as yours: "WTF $100 for salt you have got to be kidding me!" Well... let me tell you now after trying this salt and using it now for a little while, it is THE MOST AMAZING salt I have ever had. The taste is like no other. It's smoky and you just put one tiny granule on your tongue and the flavor just keeps unfolding over and over revealing new textures of flavor, it's a mystical experience. I've been using it just like that for a couple of weeks, not even putting it on food or cooking with it but just a tiny granule at a time on my tongue and tasting and feeling the experience. It's so worth it. I think this bottle will last me months but I already know I'm buying another one when this runs out. I finally put some salt on my steak tonight and OMG you don't even know... it's insane how good this is. I never heard of bamboo salt, and apparently it has amazing benefits for heath and can be used for cleansing and detox. I'm just so blown away by the flavor. And I'll add this: one of my favorite snack foods has always been salty pretzels. And we all know there's like zero nutrients in pretzels. I just like the crunch and the salt. So probably what that means is my body is craving some minerals that's in salt but just one or two of these tiny granules of bamboo salt, and it totally fulfills those cravings better than any amount of pretzels can do. I'm literally in love with this salt. You might think it's crazy to even think about buying salt for like a hundred bucks when salt is one of the cheapest things on the Earth. But this isn't like any other salt and shouldn't be used or treated like other salt. This is an experience to revel in and exalt the opportunity to have your mind blown by the unforgettable taste of this roasted bamboo salt. The name doesn't even do it justice. I wanted to like this, but the strange claims on the inside just didn't sit right with me. There are strange photos of babies being "cured" of skin ailments, and even claims of cancer being treated by this salt, along with a one side fits all regimen. I get suspicious whenever something claims to be a "cure-all", so that was off putting. There are some vague, unreferenced graphs in the brochure included as well, which have no context nor citation to them (what's the sample size? What's the study design?). As a science minded individual, this made me roll my eyes. The salt itself is packaged extremely nicely, and smells and tastes a bit sulphuric.

The bamboo salt has many claimed health benefits. If using for food a few crystals go a long way, and taste wise it has a sulfuric flavor, so probably best to add to eggs of you aren't the biggest fan. This can also be added to skin care. So far I don't have a reason not to keep using the product, it is s bit of a splurge so if you aren't finding a benefit best to try something else.
