This flashlight is a 6-AA battery flashlight, not a 4-AA battery flashlight, but I knew that going in and as such, is a little large, but not too big. I'm using with the "Coast AA rechargeable lithium-ion batteries, now on sale on Amazon. They are a 1 1/2 volt AA battery and are excellent too! I needed a robust, waterproof, focusing light and this one is a real keeper! My everyday carry light is a Fenix PD40R v. 3.0, it uses a "#21700" battery and it too is a hell of a light (in an everyday carry size). This Coast light seams to put out a more usable light, with more run time. This Coast flashlight is really good and rugged, and waterproof to 3' for 30 min., but at a much larger size, it's 8.25" long, almost 2" big end diameter, and 1.5" dia. body tube. I have it mounted on my mountain bike, using a "Ram mount" setup, it is just what I was looking for!

I have been very impressed with this Coast flashlight. It is sturdy and gives off great light. I prefer not having multiple outputs, so this has filled the bill perfectly. With the Coast warranty, it was an obvious choice. Now own 2. One stays in my work bag. It gets used a lot.

As usual from Coast, a very good flashlight. It does not come with the rechargeable power pack, only the six AA battery pack and the batteries are included. There are four lights! It has four power levels with the button at the back or butt. It was larger than thought it was, but certainly a great standard flashlight. The finer focus is not ultra but does a great job at lighting up whatever you are pointing it at, at the maximum level.

So far, so good.. it's bright, solidly made, feels good in your hand/is a nice size, and has a decent lens/beam adjustment built in. I have other previous models that are smaller/more pocket-sized as well and like their product line. I really like that it's not an all-metal housing - which helps it not get super cold in winter (holding it in bare hands outdoors) and that it doesn't seem to have any risk of corrosion etc. All of the aluminum bodied-torches I have issues with batteries getting jammed inside (Maglite) or crusty oxidization forming around the threaded connections etc.

I decided it is time to upgrade all my old C-Cell and D-Cell flashlights. The newer LED flashlights put out much more light using smaller and cheaper batteries. I was impressed with the quality of the Coast flashlights and the model GX30 is a winner. It is replacing my old Maglite. The GX30 puts out a scary amount of light in Turbo mode. I can illuminate my large main living area and entrance hall with vaulted ceilings well enough that everyone could read a book. The "Flood" setting is similar to an inspection light. The focused setting is for long distance. It is amazing what a few AA batteries can do. Tip: There are 4 power levels. You do not have to press the power button in completely to quickly sample and/or cycle through the various power levels. That way you can get to your ideal power level quickly.

This flashlight was for stocking stuffers for the men in our family and everyone seemed to like the design, size and brightness. Apparently they are functional and seemed to be a good value.

Beware,, while it's advertised as rechargeable, it comes with regular batteries and you have to buy a rechargeable battery for that feature. Even tho you'll find that fact in the description, I thought it was a bit deceitful. It's easy to miss that in the description. It's an ok light. It lights up the backyard . But I wouldn't exactly call the beam a "bullseye". It's more of a broad beam even when I focus the beam. And there not much difference between the 3 stronger beams. I really don't like the switch. You have to turn it on and off between each option, rather than progressing from one beam to the next. Coast products have been very reliable for me. But I think they could improve the switch. I'm confident this light will last a very long time. The only downside? If you're using it on full power, don’t expect your night vision to recover quickly after turning it off. It’s almost too bright (but hey, that’s not really a problem, is it?). In short, if you’re looking for a flashlight that can basically replace the sun, look no further. Highly recommend!

La iluminación de esta linterna es descomunal. Hubo un apagón por donde vivo y la potencia y utilidad de mi linterna ayudo a los de la compañía de luz a poder trabajar. Realmente alumbra de cuadra a cuadra mientras trabajaban en los postes. Y eso ocurrió el día que lo recibí, mejor prueba y experiencia no pude haber tenido. Super contento con esta linterna :)

I got this light for walking the dogs. It works perfectly. Has lots of power and puts out a lot of light. It is more of a flood than a spot.

El único problema es que la descripción dice que es recargable, y no lo es, tienes que comprar la pila que es recargable y eso se vende aparte, y por la cantidad de lúmenes que tiene las pilas se las consume fácilmente, y aparte la pila no la venden en Amazon y en la página cuesta 30 dlls
