Saw results
I'm a 41 year old man and never cared about having a skin care routine. I've been working on a healthier lifestyle and thought I'd try a skin care routine to go with it. In a few weeks of using this product I saw a noticeable difference. My personal trainer and coworkers also commented I had a younger healthier looking appearance. I was weary to shell out the money for a "beauty product" but it definitely works.

So far, really great! Use it immediately when my skin barrier feels compromised!
I’d heard of Grown Alchemist prior to receiving the opportunity to try this Skin Renewal serum. Specifically, I know it’s a premium clean beauty brand known for creating skincare with active natural ingredients that just sync with your skin. That being said, I went into trying this product sort of hoping I wouldn’t like it. Yep, you read that right. My sole reason behind this was that I didn’t want to end up loving a serum, which is not even a full ounce mind you, that costs $72. Well, so much for hoping because, turns out, I really do love this serum so far. Lately, my skin has not been happy with me. Between switching to a couple new skincare products and the changing weather, it decided to react by breaking out and experiencing increased irritation and dryness. When this happens, I pare back all of my skincare in order to heal my skin barrier. However, this time I took a risk and decided to try this serum because the online description stated that it helped strengthen the moisture barrier of participants in a clinical trial within 12 hours. Specifically, it’s formulated with a powerhouse trio of niacinamide, ashwagandha, and echinacea, all of which work together to repair damage and defend the skin barrier. The serum itself is very lightweight and has a very watery texture. It absorbs into the skin quickly. I think it smells like celery juice but that might be unique to me. Rest assured, there is a faint, herbaceous fragrance, but it’s not unpleasant in any way. Within one full day of using it day and night, the irritation and redness significantly calmed down, and by day three, my skin was mostly back to normal. Plus, there was a nice glow to my skin, and it just felt hydrated. I’m not calling it a miracle serum because I’m not here to mislead in anyway in my review. I can only speak to how it worked for me, and I just know it was immensely helpful with kickstarting the healing process by soothing, nourishing, and just getting my skin back on track. As such, I reach for this when my skins begins to act up, sort as a first line of defense. Now, as for the anti-aging benefits of this serum, I can’t speak to the efficacy of it in that regard because I haven’t used it long enough. So, I’ll have to update my review after more time has passed. All in all, I really like this serum, and it’s working its way toward being a staple in my skincare routine.

👍🏻
So far, so good. I have ultra sensitive skin, so most skin products are a crapshoot for me. I’ve tolerated this very well- no redness, sensitivity or breakouts. As with any new serum I try, regardless of Ingredients, I start out using it mixed with a very gentle and basic moisturizer like Cerave. I’m 52 and my skin is really dry in some areas and really oily in others 😐 - hydration is important no matter what, but finding a good balance with combination skin is challenging. So far, I’m really liking this serum. It has some powerhouse ingredients, and at this price point it should! As much as I like it, I don’t think it’s something I’d re-purchase mainly because of the price. I can’t speak to long term results since I’m only a few weeks in, but used at nighttime, skin feels soft and supple the next day.

fresh and clean, no residue
I like this serum because of its texture and light fresh scent. It absorbs fast and doesn't leave any sticky filmy residue, but quickly absorbs into my skin. It gives a great hydrating boost, but I lock it in by applying richer cream on top at night, but in the AM I just use this serum and put sunscreen right on top of it. I like how it feels, but I also use a bit more of it than any other serums before, maybe due to its high absorption, but a few drops doesn't cover my face. Fresh and clean feel.

I'm not sure how much it's helping
Even if the results aren't very apparent as with this, I like to think it's doing my skin good in the long run. I just can't confirm I see any difference using this so far. It's definitely not enough hydration for my skin. It's extremely lightweight, and I find myself layering my other usual serums on top of it to get the hydration I need. It's not tacky. The scent (no added fragrance) is floral to me (not aloe), but when I rub it between my fingers, I very briefly smell caramel. That's been the most enjoyable part of using this:) It has an angled bulb tip and was in a sealed box. I'm not tempted to pay $61.20 for this. Besides that, I think I'm allergic to one of the ingredients.

Ok, but too pricey
This serum is just ok. It did not have any hydrating effects on my skin in my opinion and I had to use a moisturizer after. It is thin and runny but absorbs well without being tacky or greasy. But the price for such a small bottle is outrageous even though it is a premium brand and all. But after weeks of use I actually did not notice any apparent change in my skin tone or texture, so I do not think I would spend this much for a serum like this. I will continue to use it and if in the long run it does work its miracle then I may reconsider my decision to buy it in the future.

Perfect addition to the night skincare routine
This Skin Renewal Serum by Grown Alchemist came securely packaged in a nice bottle with a dropper. I have a normal type of skin, which is prone to dry sometimes. The serum has a very light texture, which absorbs quickly into my skin. I used this serum as a last step of my skincare routine. It doesn't feel oily or sticky on my skin. The serum soothed my skin and left it feeling refreshed and soft. In the morning, my skin looks more even and radiant, and the fine lines look improved. The smell is light and pleasant. The quality is great, and the serum is very easy to use. I highly recommend this high-quality serum for others as it is a good find for the skin.
