Christmas in Noisy Village (Picture Puffin)

This is a darling vintage book! It’s perfect to read to children at Christmas time!

What a fun Christmas book! I heard someone mention that they read this during the Christmas season, so we did with our kiddos this year, too. I love the sense of adventure and wonder for the kiddos without it being completely focused on Santa Claus. Glad to add this as part of our Advent traditions for years to come!

Each year I buy a book or two to add to our Christmas book collection. This is a sweet book that takes 10 min or so to read, and I assume it’s from the longer chapter book by Lindgren. It would be a nice read aloud for grades 1-4 in a Christmas around the globe unit. I’m pleased with the book’s content, construction, and appearance.

Our library no longer has a copy of this book, but I love reading it at Christmas time with kids, so I ordered a copy. It is a cute story.

This book is great, its a nice, colorful picture book to accompany the two chapter books about these children--The Children of Noisy Village, and Happy Times in Noisy Village--and there is another picture book focused on Easter to buy as well. My daughter (age 6) loved the series and was sorry there weren't more stories about Noisy Village. One small note: the chapters are very short and would be fine for children ages 4-8 (there are a lot of pictures), but its clear that in the chapter devoted to Christmas--which is a charming chapter altogether--the children no longer believe in Santa Claus, so some quick editing needs to be done if you are reading out loud to your small ones! The picture book doesn't have this problem.

Love the wonderful illustrations and fun text in this delightful book! Definitely an all-time Christmas favorite. We loved The Children of Noisy Village, and this is a great continuance of it. Just wish it were available in hardback.

I adore the books about the children of Noisy village by Astrid Lindgren and was very happy to find an English translate. I am happy to see the original illustrations, although I was not fond of the format of this specific item. It is kind of flimsy in it's oversized, rectangular form with soft covers. Based on this experience I would recommend to find same book but with hard covers. The story itself is very nice and give a great image of Swedish christmas celebrations.

Got this to add to my Christmas book collection! I love Astrid Lindgren. This book is so cute and narrated by a little girl. Perfect for elementary age, but I love it as an adult.

Un très beau livret pour enfant, idéal pour les petits débutants en anglais. Attention au format: il s'agit d'un carnet, ce n'est pas vraiment un livre.

an excellent little book. the text is charming and simple and the artwork is a delight. such a colourful presentation. would make a wonderful gift for a child at Christmas time.

Exactly what i was looking for: a Christmas book that is not focussed on Santa, but rather on the overall excitement and “togetherness” and fun around this important event.
