Sure, i can carry around a soda and a few swigs would bring my BG back up, but these packets are small enough to put in a pocket and have enough carbs to raise me up without the risk of getting too high, plus the benefits of an energy supplement. Comes in handy on long motorcycle rides, having a day trip at the zoo in the summer heat, and saved me and another cub scout at camp. Plus, i like the pudding texture and flavors are excellent.
