Great
Great product and love the container. Thin, to help with storage.

Great product - choking hazard warning
Product itself it brilliant and have noticed a difference since taking them. However the shape of the tablets is awful, every single time I take them it gets stuck in my throat and takes about 20 mins to go down, doesn't seem very safe so I think the shape needs changing

Delivery
Product is amazing. What is the point of giving delivery instruction when the driver ignores them?

Fiddly packet but otherwise good
A little fiddly to get out the box, which is quite narrow and I can’t quite get my finger in to fish one out. As long as you don’t pierce the capsule I find them odourless with no bad aftertaste, and also easy to swallow. I did try squeeze to squeeze two into my protein shake and that tasted a bit yuk, so definitely take whole. I’m not vegan but I would recommend vegan oils over ones derived from fish, as fish oils can contain persistent organic pollutants such as PBDE flame retardants and OCP pesticides, which tend to bioaccumulate in fish.

An important supplement for most plant-based eaters
THE IMPORTANCE OF OMEGA 3 SUPPLEMENTATION I ran my own supplement business and worked with some of the best formulators in the industry. The plain truth is that most supplements are pretty useless if your diet is decent, but for vegans (and for omnivores that don't eat fatty fish) Omega 3 is an exception. Omega 3 is an essential nutrient and can only be obtained from food - it can't be synthesised in the body. Fatty fish, or fish and krill based supplements provide EPA and DHA, with good bioavailability. Conventional plant sources only provide ALA, which is significantly less bioavailable. So if your diet is plant-based and you aren't taking active steps to boost your intake of ALA it's very likely you are deficient. First, you need to be taking at least 2 tbs of freshly ground flaxseed or equivalent per day. I'm plant-based myself and so are many of my friends - and very few are consuming this quantity with regularity. And second, you have to trust that your body is converting the ALA to EPA and DHA effectively. This can vary by genetics, gender, age and health, so getting your recommended dosage from ALA is a bit of a lottery. Even worse, some authorities believe that the recommended dose is too low and should be doubled, leaving plant based eaters even more vulnerable. SO WHAT IS THE BEST OMEGA 3 SUPPLEMENT? The most common options is a fish or krill based supplement. This isn't an option that's open to vegans, and even for omnivores there are issues with sustainability and contamination. Old-style vegan supplements only provided ALA, but more recently supplements based on cultivated microalgae have become widely available. The microalgae are the source of the Omega 3s in fish and krill, so this is the most direct way to consume your oils. But it's a relatively expensive ingredient, so some vegan supplements are padded with ALA. And sadly, as an industry insider I need to warn you that many products are simply not what they claim to be. So what you need is a microalgae supplement that provides the full daily dose in the form of EPA and DHA, from a trustworthy supplier. TROO is a British based company manufacturing in the UK with ISO certification. UK manufacturers have a good reputation, which is what you need because cultivation of the microalgae is a complex process. You'll pay a little more for this quality of product, but you will have the peace of mind that it contains the claimed dosage - something you simply can't guarantee with a generic product.

Decent product, poorly packaged
The product is good and works, and the oil is definitely fresh. (I always bite oil gels open to check. It's shocking how many of them are rancid). The dosage is a decent amount and I think the price is very good compared with others. The container had a partly open inner seal, meaning it wasn't airtight. The lid snaps on and is not tight. This type of oil degrades and goes rancid in contact with oxygen so this isn't ideal. I store it in the fridge to keep it fresh but in a different airtight jar. Overall it's a decent product but could be better.

Product was not sealed properly
The Troo Health Vegan Omega 3 supplement appears to be a quality product from a reputable company, and one with a good standing / history. The packaging is good as are the labels showing the ingredients, directions and allergy advice. However, when I removed the lid on my bottle of supplements, I noticed that both ends of the safety seal were not sealed to the pot, meaning that the product inside could have easily been tampered with. I'm certainly not suggesting that this is the case but with the seal opened, I have no assurance that it isn't. Having removed the seal and looked at it more closely, it appears that there was no adhesive applied to the ends, which I have tried to illustrate in my picture with a red outline. I contacted Troo Health and sent pictures asking of this was normal but received no reply despite confirmation that they had read my message. I chased for a response one further time but still nothing. I will not be using this product given my concerns about the safety seal. Hopefully this is just an isolated case but I'm left disappointed that company couldn't even spare 5 minutes to respond to a legitimate safety related query.
