I'm so happy with this pedal. I've been using a variety of pedals up until this point, most recently a DW5000, but this TAMA Classic suits me so much better. I had been looking for a bass drum pedal that's lighter and easier to pack, but with an offset mounting screw for easy mounting, and also excellent responsiveness and speed. This pedal excells at everything I was wanting. I've had a chance to use it now for several days including a three hour band rehearsal, and I couldn't be happier. I can't wait to use it at our next gig. It's like it becomes a part of my foot while I'm playing, absolutely effortless by comparison to the heavier DW. I've only used it on a 22" bass drum thus far, but with it's adjustable height I'm sure it'll be equally good on my 20" as well. This is the pedal I'll probably be using until I'm too old to play. I'll likely be buying another one for a spare in the near future.

Lots of pros to include lightweight, ease of setting / adjusting. Folds up for compact storage. Smooth footboard. I've used it on three gigs so far. So good. My only concern is I have a heavy foot on the kick. Not sure how the single chain will holdup. Time will tell. I'm accustomed to heavier duty pedals but for 99.00, I'm good with it. I do keep a spare in case of any issues. I would give it the 5 stars had it double chain. I'll see how the sngle chain holds up and give updated review. I do like the pedal and hope it's a prototype for great pedals to come in the near future. Meanwhile, I may just buy another to cary as a spare. I like it that much!!

Love these so much I bought 2. I love the adjustability and the feel. They fold up real nice for packing too. I doubt you can find a better pedal for the money, such a great deal! Thank you Tama!

I have a dw9000 and it's great. It's also a fortune. This pedal makes it all about your technique. However good that is this pedal will let it show. I only wish they made a double pedal as well

Si tocas en muchos lados y en eventos , bares etc.. este pedal es ideal , es compacto y ligero de peso y su nivel de ajuste es muy amplio , el mecanismo es similar a los pedales vintage de los 50's y 60's y funciona perfectamente

I bought this for my bop kit which has an18inch bass drum. I wanted to lower the pedal and get the striking zone closer to the middle of the drum. This has worked great for that, and plays really well. It's light weight, but so far has held up to several gigs and regular jam nights.

I bought the Tama Classic pedal to replace an aging Pearl P120 single chain pedal. The Tama felt absolutely perfect straight out of the box and is fast, light and more powerful than the Pearl. It feels great and took no time to get used to the action. It is very adjustable, folds for transport and feels very solid while playing. I'm very pleased with this pedal. It also clears the old vintage bowtie bass drum tension rod handles, due to the single post design.
