Great Straps for Cameras - or in this case Binoculars
I already have another Op/Tech strap, the Super Classic Uni-Loop, which I use on a pro DSLR. On the other DSLR's I use Op/Tech wrist straps, which link in with the same clips as the Uni-Loops. So, when I needed a strap for a new pair of binoculars, the choice was fairly simple. This time I went for the Pro-Loop strap. Mainly because the Uni-Loop version isn't easily available in the UK. I spoke to customer services at Op/Tech and apparently, it's a USA only item, the Uni-Loop. So I just happened to get lucky when I bought them, that someone in the UK was selling them. I think it can be ordered in if requested by a couple of distributors if needs be. The Pro Loop is different to the Uni-Loop, because the two ends that stay on the camera are about 9 inches long. On the Uni-Loop the ends are approx. 2 inches long (or less). On a camera, if I remove the strap, then the Uni-Loop is great, because there's hardly anything left to dangle around and get in the way. I decided that for the Binoculars, this didn't matter so much. Plus, there's a trick that you can do with the Pro-Loops, where you remove the strap, but connect the two tails together. This creates a mini strap. Which is how I intend to leave them for most of the time. Because, normally the binoculars are just lying around the house, for looking at birds and deer outside the window, so they are not travelling anywhere. Therefore the big strap is unnecessary. However, it's easily clipped into place if needs be, for going out walking. One point to note if mixing the two systems, is that the actual padded strap part on the Pro-Loop strap, is much shorter than on the Uni-Loop version. You can buy a set of Op/Tech Uni-Loop extension straps to compensate for this. These contain a pair of Uni-Loop connectors, and two 8 inch connector straps, which all connect using the same clip in connectors for speedy connection. All in all a superb system of straps. Very comfortable to wear. They feel very strong, the neoprene padded shoulder pad is nicely padded without being too fancy. It's non-slip is perfect. I'd highly recommend them as a strap for a DSLR or a pair of binoculars.

Easily the Best DSLR Strap - Sets the Industry Standard!
I purchased this to, like many others, replace the standard manufacturers strap that came with my camera - a Canon 6D. The manufacturers strap is uncomfortable and often rubs against my neck making it very sore at the end of the day. The Optech strap is very very high quality and discrete - finally I am not a walking advert for my camera manufacturer! At first I was worried that the quick connectors would disconnect but they are rigid and will only disconnect if you squeeze them well. From looking at Amazon's photos, you can't see how thick or well built the strap is which is a shame. The padding is very comfortable and nearly 1cm thick and it does stretch a little to spread the weight of my camera well, whilst the non-slip finish does its job well. I'd recommend buyers to pick up the Pro Loop version because, in my opinion, it is much easier to fit or remove the strap to the camera (or binoculars) than messing around pushing a strap through tight lugs and having to resize a normal strap each time. The only negatives to this strap is that the loops can be a little tricky to put on at first, this is because the loops are very strong and rigid, my advice would be to use a not sharp pointy item to help push the loop through your camera strap lugs. The Optech Super Classic Pro Loop strap has set the industry standard for camera straps in my opinion.

Much needed improvement over "standard" strap
I've been lugging cameras around for almost 40 years now, and over the last 5 years especially I have had a particularly heavy combination of Canon 7D + 70-300mm L lens - that's over 2kg. I always use the strap in a slingshot way rather than just dangling from one shoulder - and basically on a day out it's quite tiring. And the standard issued strap makes you a walking advert (although personally I've not actually been a target of crime during that time) So, when upgrading recently to a 7D2, I'd seen a recommendation for this strap, so got one to use from Day One. I can't believe what a difference it makes! I'm less fatigued, it doesn't slip as much, takes up less room in the camera bag, and can be grabbed into the hand comfortably, and also it's long enough for me to continue using it in a slingshot way. Oh, and it isn't garish like the supplied ones. I'm not really using the convertible nature of it, but have found it useful to remove the central part when the camera's on a tripod, just to reduce the amount of strap that's dangling. Not 5 stars? This is really picky, but the "clackiness" of the click-together components of the strap are noticeably noisy for me, but I know I tend to get annoyed by this sort of thing much more than "normal" people ;)

discrete and ... handy
Edited to add a star to the maximum of 5 because after months of regular use with heavy lenses it is the most comfortable to my neck and I feel like I have used it always. My friends envy my choice and I recommend it to anyone who wants the best. I have been looking for a quality strap to replace the one that came with my Canon 50D. I do not like to go around advertising with red letters what gear I have hanging from my neck. That said I looked for a discrete but comfortable and top quality one. It is worth the money ... but it is not easy to attach the loop of the strap ... but after several tries and with the help of what is shown in one of the videos that can be seen in YouTube I managed to get it attached to the camera. Whenever we need to carry the camera in our hand ready to shoot just detach the loops from the strap, attach them to each other ... and voilá.
