Ok button wouldn’t work

This remote is not safe! I bought this Hitachi remote control, as my original remote was worn out on certain buttons.This was claimed to be an identical remote for my TV.However, as soon as I put the two 2AA batteries into the remote it started to heat up in the battery compartment, to the point it was too hot to touch. It also didn’t activate any of the functions on the TV. I had to put one star on so I can get my review through.DO NOT BUY.
