NRS Healthcare MEDesign Backfriend Back Support, Double Padded - Folds to Carry

I brought this in 2017. Not sure if it’s the same company. The price then was £60, after being recommended by a friend. I suffered from lower back pain and was not able to sit in any chairs Or lay on my back and I worked in the community as my job. I can honestly say this save me. At the start it went everywhere from the cars to sitting in restaurants, at home and In the office. At university, came to all my classes. This help relieve my pain, and I was able to sit in cars ( worst one). At the time I was 29 years old and believe me nothing to be ashamed of, to take it with you everywhere. I would not have been able to function if, it was not for this. Warning; When adjusting the clips at the back, follow the instructions. It was one of the most difficult things I have ever experience, if done wrong, it will damage the clips. Because I damaged it initially, the bit at the back broke two years later. I still use it in the car until this day. The price of this is well worth, the outcome. I can’t stop recommending this. I brought it again for a friend who can not sit for long.

I'd been having problems with my back and hips when sitting down for long periods for quite a while and had found a friend's sofa particularly uncomfortable to sit on for any length of time. The friend had one of these Backfriends and suggested I try it out for the evening. I found using it on their sofa was quite comfortable and better than the kitchen chair that I usually grabbed instead. Persuaded to try it for longer, I ordered one and took it away with me to a self catering cottage I'd hired for a fortnight. The sofa there proved to be even more squidgy than my friend's and extremely painful to sit in, but once I'd found a suitable part of the sofa having slighly less resemblance to a sinkhole than the rest of it, I installed the Backfriend (a very simple procedure) and would have enjoyed waching the (smart) television, had it not been set up to baffle an Oxford Don. I don't need the Backfriend all the time, but it seems sturdy and built to last and has very good back support.

This is a fabulous item. use it all the time while driving and find it very helpful and comfortable. I have been using the Backfriend for many years but the clips broke in my previous one and had to replace it. Even though it is a very expensive item I wouldn't be without one. Great purchase

Excellent lumbar support and very comfortable for the coccyx. Am also able to use the double padded seat in my Laguna estate and at 5' 11" still have a few inches above my head. I had a very bad spine injury and this backfired I wouldn't be without now, it's also very easy to transport which certainly helps as well.

I appreciate that for many this has offered significant relief so I don't want to criticise it too heavily for not fitting me. The challenge with an item that is designed to fit "the majority" is that it is not very adjustable when you are one of the minority it does not seem to fit. When I try and sit with this in the car for periods over 30 mins I feel that it is forcing my mid spine (upper lumbar / lower thoracic) into a shape that is not natural - ultimately it has ended-up causing me more pain. Having persevered for a couple of weeks, I have been forced to concede that the incompatibility of my spinal curve is simply not down to poor posture that can be corrected to fit this better over time - it just doesn't work for me. Shame really - I think this could have been great.

Brilliant for posture before I was operated on I’ve Just had spinal surgery and again this seat helps with no added pressure to the wound . Expensive but got to say worth it

I bought this because I developed thoracic back pain. It does ensure your back posture is correct, and you do notice the difference when sitting. I don't find the seat very comfortable though. I did have to alter the height of the back, even though the instructions which you read when it arrives recommends leaving it as it is. It would be helpful if the instructions mentioned how you should experience the feel of it when correctly positioned. For instance, matching the lumbar support to the small of your back is critically important, in my opinion. And sometimes there is misleading pain as the back readjusts into its correct posture. Altering the height is a fiddle; you need patience and strong thumbs. It's light, but robust. Easy to carry around, and store when not in use.

My wife broke her back two years ago and swears this helps a great deal and help with her posture and relieves any pain in her back wither it's in the car or on her chair makes a great improvement even though the price seems high Amazon is the cheapest for this when we bought it but Def worth every penny my Mrs says .

Ce backfriend porte idéalement son nom : mon dos, à peine remis d’une vilaine sciatique a trouvé cet ami formidable qui le suit de siège en canapé et de fauteuil en voiture en lui apportant un soutien physique et donc moral de première catégorie : c’est ultra confortable et réconfortant ! Je recommande avec enthousiasme.
