For those of us who drive less than newer cars, the hood and hatch struts loose thier holding power, especially when it is cold outside. To solve this in the past I carried a piece of pipe or a length of board at least until I was willing to buy a new strut.When I saw these, I thought for the price why not. They worked great!!! I have a set in my old truck and wife's car. The third set I gave to my nieghbor. I recommend these to anyone who owns an older vehicle or any thing with a strut.

Quality construction. Even after purchasing new struts - the weight of my hood (Ram 3500 6.7L) was too much for me to feel comfortable changing filters. These are forever in my truck going forward. Two minutes to install and remove. Better than a broomstick LOL!

Very good actually. Very strong, can tighten hard and doesn't bend or strip handle. Plently good enough for German cars, which all have bad hood struts. Amazing value at $4 each🤣
