The Summer Skies: A Cozy Small-Town Romance Filled with Festive Cheer and Heartwarming Love: 6 (Scottish Island of Mure, 6) : Colgan, Jenny: desertcart.in: Books Review: Loved this book. Love everything Jenny writes. Great feel good enjoyable reads of fabulous characters and always love the places and food depicted in the novels too. Review: TBH, wasn't exactly sure what I was getting into as I slid into the first chapter or two. I've read most of the author's novels (even the Jane Beaton ones in far flung places, wide body line haul jets and more, but was years ago, before their recent reissue). This story felt like something completely different. Aviation was a topic that took me by surprise, but intrigued me. I've flown many places n many types of planes, including small private ones, puddle jumpers in remote places, but never really gave a whole lot of thought into the mechanics of flight. We even have a dear extended family member who had been a flight instructor and commercial pilot who regularly took our teenaged son with him on flights (and taught him the basics of flight to build his fragile adolescent confidence; it helped greatly), but I just knew that he would not let anything bad happen in the air, so never gave it a thought. It's As the characters started revealing their conflicts and frailties, the richness if Colgan's deft writing skills made this an absolutely unputdownable story. I'd give it 43 stars if I could. Thanks, Jenny, for another brilliant reason to keep preordering ever book you write.
