Great clarity and premium quality
The Alienware AW2724DM 27" QHD 180Hz monitor has done an amazing job. The picture quality is excellent at 1440p, and the colors have good detail. It does offer really good smoothness when gaming or working on lecture task. Motion is captured without any issues involving ghosting and the overclock works perfect without stress. Brightness levels are much stronger than expected for a QHD panel, and HDR support actually adds something to the system. Build quality is pretty classic for Alienware, clean, modern, and well built. The stand is sturdy and adjusts easily. I have one horizontal and one portrait. Con: the speaker volume leaves a little more to hope for but given my set up, I'm usually wearing headphones, so this is not really an issue for me. Great build overall and definitely left my brother jealous.

Greatest 1440p nowadays!
For the current price point, if offers a significant specs and performance. This is my second purchase, the monitor is flawless. Brilliant colours, stunning performance and response rate. The so called downside of poor backlight and contrast (blacks appears grays in HDR) can easily be compensated by playing around settings and colours from monitor menu/companion app/GPU app. 200-250$ is a dream price compared to alternatives. Be careful with new model (AW2725DM) since it is not an upgrade, but falls short in many aspects. Build quality is perfect and design top notch!

A Top-notch Gaming Monitor
Have had this monitor for about two weeks now and here are what I like about it. Super smooth gameplay: The 180Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time make for an incredibly smooth gaming experience. I play a lot a FPS and this monitor and keep up! Gorgeous visuals: The QHD resolution and IPS panel produce stunning visuals with sharp details and vibrant colors. I was particularly impressed by the color accuracy, which is perfect for both gaming and creative work. Adaptive sync: The AW2724DM supports both AMD FreeSync Premium Pro; NVIDIA G-SYNC, and VESA which means that you can use this the PS5 and enable Variable Refresh Rate at 2k resolution. Comfortable design: The ergonomic stand allows you to adjust the tilt, swivel, and height of the monitor to find the perfect viewing position. The stand is also very sturdy, so there's no need to worry about the monitor wobbling. Stylish design: The AW2724DM has a sleek and stylish design that will look great on any gaming desk. The AlienFX lighting adds a touch of personality and can be customized to your liking. Haven’t come across any negatives so far as the panel tested perfect and no dead pixels. Overall, I'm very impressed with the Dell Alienware AW2724DM. It's a great gaming monitor that offers excellent performance, stunning visuals, and a comfortable design. If you're looking for a gaming monitor that will take your gaming experience to the next level, the AW2724DM is definitely worth it.

Worth 6 stars...the BEST 27" monitor under $350
Apparently there is a new line of Alienware monitors that will be released next month, and there are now DEEP discounts on this fantastic monitor-which can be had for under $200. Wal-Mart is selling the same monitor for close to $350-and it is worth every penny of that price-but at under $200, this is as close to a steal as you are going to get. The display is bright and very sharp. Important to me is that the stand is very adjustable allowing easy swivel and tilt-in addition to raising the height. Other monitors have fixed heights which may preclude them from being used in tight spaces-such as mine, as can be seen in the picture. The only 'downside' is that at native resolution (2560x1440) the icons and font size shrinks compared to a 24 inch monitor with a lower resolution. This is easily fixed in settings, but at the same time it is nice to be able to have panoramic views of wide spreadsheets etc.

Great monitor but not speakers or audio output
I am very happy with the picture quality and frame rate sync on this monitor. I bought it for my kid's game room pc and it works great paired with a 4060ti. One big drawback to be aware of is that this monitor has no built in speakers but more importantly it has no 3.5 or optical audio out port. This is big drawback if you want to use the monitor with a game console which sends the audio only over HDMI. You will need to use an audio extractor that will strip the gsync.

Budget Friendly
I really enjoy this monitor. Got it today and it’s super amazing for the ps5. If you’re looking for simple gaming with nice fps get this one. It’s budget friendly and yeah I know it’s not OLED but still it was worth every penny.

The Alienware AW2724DM Gaming Monitor is an absolute powerhouse in the world of gaming displays. From its stunning visuals to its blazing-fast performance, this monitor ticks all the boxes for a gaming enthusiast. First and foremost, the 27-inch QHD (2560 x 1440) display is a visual delight. The colors are vibrant and accurate, with 100% sRGB coverage, making games look stunningly lifelike. The VESA DisplayHDR 600 support enhances the contrast and brightness, delivering immersive gaming experiences with deep blacks and brilliant highlights. The standout feature here is the 180Hz refresh rate, which can be overclocked to achieve a remarkable 1ms response time. Gaming on this monitor feels buttery-smooth, and there's no hint of ghosting or motion blur. Whether you're playing fast-paced shooters or exploring expansive RPG worlds, the Alienware AW2724DM keeps up with the action flawlessly. Just keep in mind you need to use a DisplayPort for that native 165hz, as you only get 144hz with an HDMI. What's more, it's not just about the raw performance; this monitor is also packed with features. It's AMD FreeSync Premium Pro certified and NVIDIA G-SYNC compatible, ensuring tear-free gaming no matter your GPU preference. The customizable AlienFX lighting adds a cool aesthetic touch to your gaming setup, allowing you to sync the lighting effects with your other Alienware peripherals. The build quality is top-notch, with a sleek black design and ergonomic adjustability, so you can find the perfect viewing angle. The on-screen display menu is intuitive and easy to navigate, making it simple to fine-tune your monitor settings. In conclusion, the Alienware AW2724DM Gaming Monitor is a game-changer for any serious gamer. With its outstanding display quality, lightning-fast refresh rate, and compatibility with both AMD and NVIDIA graphics cards, it's hard to find a better gaming monitor on the market. While it's an investment, the visual feast it offers is worth every penny for those who demand the best in their gaming setup. Highly recommended!

The specs don't lie, beautiful monitor with great colors, but expensive for what you are buying.

I’ve had this monitor for a while and I can’t think of anything negative to say about it. The image is clear, text looks great, fairly bright, ability to control RGB power and rear lights either through the OSD or the Alienware app. Running desktop in HDR mode looks great. Decent viewing angles and a nice looking monitor. I suggest using the DisplayPort inputs whenever possible. That’s why it has 2 of those. It supports the higher (180 Hz) refresh rate as the HDMI 2.0 connection maxes out at 144 Hz. Windows shows the device as being able to support Adaptive Refresh Rate so you can turn that on. Also make sure you have the latest firmware (103) as it fixes some UI things and other small issues.

This is not a good monitor period especially at its price point; this monitor should be in the $200 range of monitors for extreme budget gaming. The colors look dark right out the box but it does have a decent to good color gamut however the setting's within navigating the inputs are bare minimum. This is probably why the monitor automatically calibrate's itself when asked and after it's done; looks like nothing has changed. WAIT! This monitor gets worse when using the advertised VESA600 HDR and lets be real, you are buying this monitor because you want to put your foot into entry level HDR gaming at 1440p while not having your older GPU melt and still having a viable refresh rate. Well this monitor doesn't provide that and for the price point it is right now, it's not worth your time. If you can't use the HDR on the monitor then what is the point of paying an extra $150 to $200 when you could just buy yourself a standard 1440p monitor without HDR that has a better refresh rate and the same color gamut scale. When gaming with the 'HDR600' the whites often looked grey, doing some research within the specs of the monitor thru external programs on the PC, the highest it can go is 260 nits which is way below the advertised VESA600. My 4K HDR10 can hit 400 nits for example and that HDR comes out way better than this monitor. With the HDR10 in games the colors are vibrant something the VESA600 makes over saturated and not being able to hit a decent peak brightness nothing ever feels vibrant with this monitor. No HDMI 2.1 so if you want to run at a higher hrz then you will need to use the 1.4 DisplayPort which is better than your standard HDMI 2.0 but way worse then HDMI 2.1 Overall what you are buying this monitor for (entry level HDR at 1440p) it does not do its job, not even close and if you cant use the HDR then why would you ever buy this monitor when other non HDR 1440p built for gaming monitors come in at a cheaper price range with the same color gamut or better and HDMI 2.1 for a more crisp picture. You have been warned.
