these work great in the garden. They protect my skin from the hot sun, irritating leaves from the tomatoes and green beans and are just genuinly comfortable to wear. The thickeness is perfect. Not to hot but protective enough to keep the sun from burning my arms. They seem to be stitched and made fairly well as I have not had any issues with them. I have several pairs and wear them often

Bought these as a gift for my mom seeing she loves gardening in her yard but due to age her skin is thining and she gets cut easily Well...SHE LOVES them. She lives in hot & humid Florida and wore them while gardening the other day (in July) and she said they didn't make her feel hot, they felt very comfortable and they kept her skin protected from scratches and from the sun! Oh and she said they stayed in place the entire time! Definetly worth the $$ (which by the way they are a good price!! ). She said high quality sleeves that work perfectly!!

Item purchased to help protect my arms from UV damage, limit abrasions, and to cut down on irritation. All three expectations were met. A nice side benefit was the cooling effect with just a slight breeze. I used the size chart provided in the description and ordered the recommended size. The sleeve length for me was slightly longer than needed but still a good fit for me! I have used sleeves for three straight days and roughly 7 hours each day, no sunburn, no skin irritation and stayed relatively cool (one day it was 91 degrees F). The lower part of the sleeve has thumb holes to protect the back of the hand. I used leather gloves which works better for me due to the heavier work performed. The upper part of the sleeve has finish to hold the sleeve in place. It does a very good job staying in place but sometimes it will pinch the skin. Nothing serious but I did notice this on several o assigns. Overall a good product that performs as advertised. One star downgrade because of pinching. I would recommend this product.

With being 66 years old, my skin has gotten thin to where I bruise and bleed easily. It doesn’t take much to cut my skin! I heard about gardening sleeves, so thought I’d try them. Used them for the first time this morning, and I am extremely pleased. They not only protect against sun damage, but protected me from bruising and wounding as I had vines and branches to trim and carry to the trash bin. Not a single tear or bruise on my hands or arms! I was also pleased that they did not make my arms hot. They fit well and were comfortable, staying up well and not slipping on my arms. I got the small size and found they worked. I do like the brilliantly colored pattern of jungle leaves. I’m waiting for the time that I’m out hiking to see if someone on the trail who doesn’t know me mistakes for tattoos! I highly recommend these if you are wanting protection for your arms when out in the sun or in the garden.

So I have horses. Every time I pick up a flake of hay, I get these bites in the front of my elbow..in the crease. It itches to death, gets all red and irritated goes away after several hours but comes back as soon as I handle more hay. These are...the bomb! No more irritation at all! Worth every penny. The fit is great..not too tight, doesn't fall down. They don't itch, seem to be very tolerable in 95 degree weather (as opposed to just wearing a long sleeved shirt ). They are a bit pricey compared to the Chinese knockoffs, but they are made in USA. Would highly recommend for gardening, pulling weeds, handling hay, protection from sun.

I know what the purpose of these was intended... gardening, etc. BUT, I have been struggling with my skin ripping, bruising, and looking scary! I decided to try a pair of these beautiful Farmers Defense sleeves. I was overwhelmed by the huge variety of colors and patterns and finally settled on the Monarch pattern! I was thrilled with the ability to measure my arms and actually get a size that is correct for for my arms! I love the thickness of the fabric that these sleeves are made from. It is substantial without feeling heavy. These sleeves have protected my arms from getting further scratches and bruises while also getting compliments on how attractive my sleeves are. I have also enjoyed the cooling effect of these sleeves! One would suspect that wearing substantial weight sleeves all day would make one hot. This is far from the case! If I had everything to do over, I would replace my other purchases (less expensive, tight around my arms, hot, thin, etc...) and purchase another pair of these Farmers Defense sleeves as they provide a superior product for the price spent. As you can see by the photo, I am a big girl. The med/lrg fits me well. The top of the sleeve had slipped down a little in the photo but it was by far from too tight or uncomfortable.

I gave these as a gift to a friend who’s an avid gardener. She was always getting scratches and cuts on her arms. She finds them very comfortable.

Perfect fabric, they feel very nice and cooling.

Works well with cutting trees down, gardening, hauling stones, and excellent protection against the sun, I didn't have to use sunscreen on my arms all summer while doing yard work....PS I have 6 acres of land lots of yard work!
