Great Power Supply at a great price!
After having a new MSI ATX3.1 power supply blow and take out have my components I decided to try this Red Dragon power supply and I have to say I am beyond impressed. The build quality is excellent and at first I thought the ARGB fan was just a gimmick, but it comes through on the back of my daughters Lian Li 011D case and looks awesome. Also Red Dragon includes a power supply tester and MSI does not, which would have been nice to have. The cables are not the highest quality I have ever seen, they are good and work just fine though. Overall this power supply compares very well to my Corsair RM1000x. While the Corsair has better cables, both power supplies generally are very close on all other features. Both use Japanese CAPs, both are quiet and considering the Red Dragon power supply was considerably cheaper I would have to lean towards the Red Dragon if I ever need another power supply. Really, you can't go wrong with this power supply.

Efficient, quiet, and compact with great RGB, perfect for high-performance builds
This PSU delivers rock-solid performance with 80+ Gold efficiency and fully modular cables that make cable management a breeze. The compact size fits easily in tighter cases, and the RGB fan stays silent under big loads while adding a nice visual touch.Great value for a clean, powerful setup!

Excellent value.
I have bought well over a dozen Redragon PSUs ranging from 650W to 1000Ws, I mainly buy alot of 650w and 850w psus. I also tend to buy them used directly from redragon. They are an excellent budget option, I have had a single one be completly dead, which was dissapointing, but For the most part there are no issues and it was easy to return. There is not a coil whine issue with these units, nor is the fan particularly loud or present any issues. The RGB and the effects are pretty good. They can also just be turned off. Some of the effects I have no idea why anyone would use, but they certainly don't hurt. I would really like to see a 5v connecter to take control of the fan in the future, that way it can be synced to the rest of the lights. I feel that would really push this over. I put the white model alot in my builds as it is one of the most affordable white PSUs. Which is often necessary for cases that have gpu shrouds with mesh or cutouts, on white cases. The cables are fine, I have had a broken tab before on cables, but nothing bad. I always use cable extensions with these, so their look isn't super impactful. I'd recommend that to everyone.

10/10 budget, reliable PSU. Reddragon does it again!!
Overall Rating: 4 out of 5 starsFor: Budget-conscious builders seeking efficiency, quiet operation, and modular cablesAgainst: Limited brand reputation, higher noise levels under heavy load, potentially tight cable managementPerformance: 4.5 out of 5 starsThe Redragon PSU007 packs a potent punch for its price. Its 850W output makes it suitable for even demanding gaming and workstation builds. The 80+ Gold certification ensures high efficiency, translating to lower power bills and less heat generation. In everyday use, it runs whisper-quiet, remaining near-silent under moderate loads. However, push it hard with a hefty power draw, and the fan noise can become noticeable, though still within acceptable limits.Features: 4 out of 5 starsThis PSU ticks all the essential boxes. It's fully modular, allowing you to use only the cables you need, improving airflow and aesthetics inside your case. Japanese capacitors and various circuit protections promise long-term reliability and component safety. It also boasts RGB lighting, though its implementation might be considered basic compared to flashier alternatives.Value: 5 out of 5 starsThis is where the PSU007 truly shines. Compared to established brands offering similar specs, the Redragon undercuts the price significantly. For budget-conscious builders seeking a reliable and efficient power supply, it's a hard bargain to beat.Things to Consider:Brand Reputation: Redragon is a relatively new name in the PSU market, so some users might prefer sticking with established brands for peace of mind.Noise Levels: While quiet under moderate loads, the fan noise becomes noticeable under heavy workloads, which might be a concern for noise-sensitive users.Cable Management: The modular cables are handy, but the included ones might be slightly short for spacious cases, potentially requiring extra care during installation.Final Verdict:The Redragon PSU007 850W Gold is a compelling option for budget-minded builders seeking a reliable and efficient power supply. Its quiet operation, modular cables, and 80+ Gold certification offer fantastic value for the price. While the limited brand reputation, potential increase in noise under heavy loads, and potentially short cables are minor drawbacks, they don't overshadow the overall strong performance and affordability. If you're on a tight budget and prioritize performance over brand recognition, the Redragon PSU007 is a Goldilocks-worthy choice, providing just the right power at a budget-friendly price, with just a few thorns to watch out for during installation and heavy workloads.Note:This review is based on my research and analysis of the Redragon PSU007 850W Gold. Your experience may vary depending on your specific components, case size, and usage patterns.Feel free to adapt and personalize this review to your own experience and preferences. Good value if you can pick it up at a good price.
Overall: Working well and good value at the price I paid for it. Happy with the purchase in the end. Matches my white build very well and provides plenty of power for my 9070.Pros: Included a 12VHPR cable even tho the listing said it didn't. Quiet fan under low loads and no coil wine or thing else noticeable noise wise.Cons: The included cables do feel cheap/thin. Not sure I'd be comfortable using a high power NVIDIA gpu on the provided cable.Manual was very minimal and didn't include much information. For example it didn't include any information on how to turn the RGB lighting off on the fan. You can push the button to cycle through a bunch of preset colors but it doesn't turn them off as one of the ones in the cycle. Initially I settled for something but was disappointed that I couldn't turn it off since my case had a front mounted PSU and the light showed through the front of my case. Because of the mounting it wasn't centered and didn't really look very good IMO. I eventually decided to try a press and hold on the LED color button and sure enough that's the hidden way to turn off the LED. Even a half way decent manual would have included that information so you didn't need to guess and figure it out on your own.TBD on how long it will last and not sure I'd want to be pushing it to the limit but it's plenty for my build.
