Keeps a 3 gallon Betta & Shrimp aquarium healthy! And a 75 gallon too!
I bought my wife a little 3 gallon aquarium. It is divided in the middle. Water cascades from the taller side to the lower side. She has it on her desk. It's pretty great! Keeping a small tank like this can be harder than maintaining a big tank. The water parameters can go bad in a second, where in a big tank you have some time before it would crash. I've kept freshwater and saltwater tanks for years. I even used to breed seahorses. So I know how important it is to keep water quality pristine for fish and other inhabitants. I use Tetra Cleaning Bacteria simply because that's what it is. Beneficial bacteria. Tetra adds some minerals too. Now this tiny tank has a tiny internal filter. It has some ceramic media and a mechanical filter pad in it. I added two tiny air stone powered sponge filters to aid with filtration. Some people will tell you that a product like this isn't necessary. That the aquariums already have a colony of beneficial bacteria in them. That what your tank has is enough. Well, I am sure that is true for some aquariums. I am just not sure that is true about ALL aquariums. The amount of filter media on this tank is small. This tank's inhabitants include: a male betta, two nerite snails, some hitchhiker bladder snails, 13 cherry shrimp and it's packed full of live plants. I can tell you that it has been pretty easy maintaining this tank. My wife maintains it well. She does NOT overfeed the inhabitants. (She used to have a freshwater angel fish tank and a big salt water reef tank, so she knows what she is doing too). The parameters are great! I do weekly partial water changes. I keep an eye on the filter media. I did just switch from the filter "cartridge" made for this filter and cut a piece of 8 layer sponge filter media for the internal filter to replace it. That will also give a home to even more beneficial bacteria. All I can say is that I am 100% convinced that this product works. Her nano tank and my 75 gallon tank are doing great! I've added a pic of my 75 gallon tank too. The water is crystal clear and the parameters are also excellent. Bottom like: I highly recommend Tetra Cleaning Bacteria. (Oh yeah, almost forgot. I used Tetra SafeStart Plus on both tanks when I set them up. I do believe that was the way to go. You cannot argue with our results).

Clear water
Keeps my water clear and fish happy! My 10 gal tank of freshwater was getting cloudy so I added the recommended amount of this and noticed the water clearing within the same day!

BLUE GREEN ALGAE (cyanobacter)
I'd been having a terrible problem with blue green algae, BGA, in my 20 long tank. I'd tried everything, including multiple rounds of erythromycin. It would go away for a few days, but would come back even worse. I was afraid to try this product after reading the reviews that said it killed fish, but tried it anyway as a last resort. My thinking was that maybe the "cleaning" bacteria would out compete the cyanobacter. All I can say is WOW. I don't know how it works, but my tank has been clear for a month and looks better than ever! When I vacuum the gravel, way less stuff gets sucked out, so the product must be eating it. I noticed no problems at all with my fish, and most are small rasboras, typically sensitive to changes. If you have BGA problems, try it!

Poor packaging
Required to purchase two bottles but they came in two separate packages. Bottles not easy to open.
