Coralife BioCube Aquarium Fish Tank Marine Salt, 30 Gallon

I bought this for my hermit crab salt water, and it is a much better value than other brands of salt water solution. I like that it dechlorinates and adds the right amount of salt and minerals for a natural and healthy environment. It comes with a convenient scoop and a resealable bag. The bag is large and will last for a long time with small pets. The only issue I have is that the salt has hardened since I opened it a few months ago. I’m sure there is probably a way to prevent that, but it’s not a big deal for me to break it up to use. Overall, this seems to be a great product that I will continue to buy for my crabs.

Bought to hatch brine shrimp. Mixed a gallon using tap water (my tap water is soft & somewhat acidic) per package instructions, and it definitely worked! I was having issues with molting in my other sea monkeys tank, and since topping it off with the prepared water, they are thriving! For me, this was perfect as I didn't want to buy & store a huge jug of seawater and now I have enough for as many tanks as I please. I can't attest for other reef tanks, but I would definitely recommend this product for sea monkey hobbyists!

Easy to mix and good quality salt for my coral aquarium.

Have been using this salt on all of my tanks (14g cube, 40b w sump, 60g w sump) for about a year now and can say it’s a quality salt. All my fish are healthy and happy. Salt mixes fairly well and clears up incredibly quickly even at room temp without a heater. I do use RODI water when mixing. This salt mix deserves 5 stars but let’s talk about the bags… they never open correctly or easily, and the crappy zipper never re-seals, causing salt to get chunky but honestly it breaks back down rather easily and still mixes the same. Just an annoyance with all salts that come in zipper bags. Wish there were a larger size that comes in a bucket like the popular competition has for more convenience. Would be nice to not have to buy 3-5 bags at a time if there were a 5 gallon pail option with a re-sealing lid at a bulk price point. Overall a great salt I would recommend it to anyone who’s willing to pay the almost “dollar per gallon” price tag.

What is to start my 2 gallon pico cube. Dissolves quickly and parameters are good. I bought another bag because I really like it. I would recommend this product.

I have to admit I was a bit skeptical.. but I was pleasantly surprised. I put the salt in a bucket with water out of my tap and let it mix with a power head for about an hour and used it to do water changes on my little 7gal nano. And everything seems to be doing really well after almost a year using this product. I even used it to jump start my larger 20g tank to get it cycling, and do changes. I really didn't notice much of a difference between this mix and the premixed water I was getting from my local fish store. I do still supplement for the health of my corals. If you are beginner just getting started, have a small tank, or need a cheap way to get a larger tank set up I highly recommend this product. You really can't beat the price, and it works surprisingly very well when the directions are followed. I did switch back to my preferred mix because I do have some very demanding things in the tank now, as well as macro algae (which didn't do well with this product since I belive it has an algae inhibitor in it). But if I wanted a little tank with just a few fish and soft corals, I would happily keep using this product.

I use this product for my salt water tank for hermit crabs. Very dissolvable and come in large quantities making the bag last for a very long time. Also, the directions how to to ratio the salt to water quantity is very clear and easy to read.
