These are surprisingly effective, they are slim but the magnets are powerful for their size. I used the double sided tape and it is holding very well. I bought these because my new dog discovered how to open our trash can which is like a drawer and they work very well. I used a second one on my 100 gallon tropical fish tank cabinet to hold the doors securely shut.

Finally!! We have older cabinets with tired hinges, I guess. There were a few that just would NOT stay shut. I didn't want anything huge or major to fix it. Husb looked around and found these. So simple, and such an improvement! In fact, the magnets held a little too firmly, I had to add a post it note between the two magnets to relax the grip.

Magnet is strong to hold closed a cabinet door with damaged hinge. My issue is that the screws to mount the plate block the magnet strip and gives less hold than intended. Used only the adhesive strips and hope it’s durable

These magnets won’t work for my project, but they are strong and would be good for many projects.

They aren’t white, they are chrome. That would not at all matter if they worked. They don’t. The edges seem to be more magnetic than the flat plates. The magnet is not enough to even keep the plates together, let alone keep a drawer closed. Total waste of money. Don’t buy these.

These magnets are a must if you are having problems with cabinet doors. I researched comments online before buying and these definitely fit the bill. When they arrived, I took a quick look, and they really were easy to install. Just line the magnet up on the cabinet, remove the tape, and stick it on. Then do the same with the magnet on the door. Before getting these, we were worried because there was little overlap where the door met the cabinet. But because these are so strong that was no problem. We put each magnet on the door and cabinet horizontally and they met and stuck perfectly. Finally, the door stays closed.
