First thing, if you think this is going to be a nice calming herbal blend that you can sip while staring out the window on a rainy day..... this is not it. Hops are what give beer it's bitter, citrusy flavor. This tea is like drinking a 90 minute IPA, but without the benefit of having and IPA's maltiness balance the bitter. Know what you're getting in to when you get this. Don't be surprised at the flavor. It........... takes getting used to. That said, it's worth it. My husband has anxiety issues. We both realized they were lessened after drinking a good IPA, due to the "hop-head" feeling afterwards. We figured looking for tea would be a better alternative than constantly drinking beer. At least for his liver. This tea is now part of his daily routine, to the point that he's asked if we can set up a recurring order so we never run out. It DEFINITELY does help his anxiety, and without leaving him feeling like a zombie, exhausted, or having to fail a drug test like other alternatives. He's gotten used to the flavor... somewhat. It's still not something he would sit and calmly sip while having lunch or dinner or the like. But, like an IPA, it was an acquired taste. And one he's glad to endure for the benefits.
