Great color rendition and brightness
I have been skeptical about transitioning to LED vs Halogen though you don't have much choice. My primary concern is color rendition.I was pleasantly surprised to see that the warm white is almost identical to the halogen. The lumens (brightness) is bit higher which is good. The bulb is a good fit in the recess can and hopefully the lamp life is close to what the manufacturer claims, which would be a huge plus as well as the lower energy consumption.

Broken bulbs
The bulbs were shipped with no packing around box. 6 of 10 bulbs immediately snapped of where the glass meets the socket. I have had good luck in the past. Bulbs look good

Great value!
Amazon has the best prices for these Edison bulbs. We need them in bulk due to the fact that all our bulbs are these. They arrive quickly, well packaged so that we have not had a broken one yet! This color is a soft white that doesn’t burn your retina. Must buy!

2700K 1500 Lumen Edison Bulb
2700K and 1500 lumen, very hard combination to find in an edison bulb and its a good price that works well.

LED 'filaments' have terrible reliability
These lights are pleasant enough—nice and bright, but the problem with bulbs with serial strings of LEDs is that their reliability is terrible. Applying statistical methods; a string of 20 20,000 hour LEDs only has a lifetime of about 1,000 hours, two 20s in series or 40, only has a lifetime of around 500! And that has been my experience over the years. I bought 10 of these bulbs for two sockets, because the previous two only lasted 1/2 year.

Bulbs destroyed recommended dimmer in multi-bulb configuration
I bought a 10-pack of Sunco 13-watt LED High-lumen ST64 bulbs for an 8-bulb dining room pendant fixture. The bulbs replaced 60-watt incandescent bulbs. The existing dimmer, a Lutron Diva DVCL-153P, rated for 600W incandescent or 150W LED, was at the top of the list of Sunco's recommended dimmers. I replaced the incandescent bulbs with the Sunco LED bulbs and flipped the switch on. The bulbs glowed brightly for several seconds, then went out with a dull pop and burning smell emanating from the dimmer switch. I thought maybe the switch was old and it was just time for the switch to die, so I went out and bought an identical switch. I installed that switch and it suffered the same fate as the first, so I called Sunco.A live representative answered quickly, requested my contact information, and said he would forward my information to his technical team and get back with me after receiving their reply. The reply also came quickly - The representative told me that the bulbs were incorrectly labeled, actually were not dimmable and that Sunco would refund my entire purchase price without requiring me to return the bulbs, if that was acceptable to me. I said that the offer was not acceptable to me, that the bulbs had destroyed two dimmers, and that the minimum solution that was acceptable to me, would be for Sunco to send me a 10-pack of dimmable ST64 bulbs and a replacement dimmer that was capable of dimming them. The representative said that he would have to submit the request to management and get back to me. Again, the representative got back with me very quickly, and said that the bulbs actually were dimmable, that the dimmer failures could have been caused by a variety of factors, and the best that Sunco would do is their original offer of a full refund. I was allowed to keep the bulbs, but the warranty would no longer be valid. I accepted and Sunco issued my full refund.I then went out and bought an Eaton DUL06P dimmer, which was not on the list of Sunco recommended dimmers, but had a Dimmable LED rating of 300 watts. I installed that dimmer and the fixture now works. One of the 10 Sunco bulbs doesn't work and none of them is now warranted. The fixture with 8 dimmable LED bulbs at 13 watts each, consumes a maximum of 104 watts, 46 watts less than the Sunco recommended Lutron dimmer 150-watt LED dimmer rating. Before Sunco recommends a dimmer to be used with their products, the company should test all bulb configurations up to the rated capacity of that dimmer. With this bulb, Sunco should have tested an 11-bulb (143-watt) configuration with the Lutron dimmer, before recommending it. The customer experience with their products should literally be as easy as screwing in a light bulb.

Stands behind product, 35% failure rate in 7 months
These light bulbs work very well. The color rendering made the old light bulbs that still worked look greenish in compairson. These bulbs are very bright not just a claim to find you had bought a dimbulb rather than a lightbulb, these are very bright. One of the bulbs did not work, so I contacted the company. They took care of the bad lightbulb in very professional manner.Unfortunately 7 months after the initial purchase, we are at a 35% failure rate. I wish that were not the case as of how bright and how good these look in the exposed fixtures. Again, Sunco did take care of us, I don't want to have keep changing lightbulbs ahead if the retreated life.On a personal note. Growing up and the transition from incandescent to CFL one would get about 5 years out if a light bulb, it was just a given. The lightbulbs these replaced were LED bulbs that had a 3 year warranty and failed just after the warranty expired. Looking at the box the life expectancy was supposed to have been 27 years. So we went from $1 incandescent light bulbs that lasted 5 years with no warranty to 12 dollar a light bulb that stated on the box that it should have out lasted me to early failure, frequent replacement and warranties that run out well just as the LED bulbs fail. Have we actually made progress? In updating this review, I am let down that the following statement did not hold true; I do hope these light bulbs last and will certainly update this post if they do not as I have with other posts I have made.Updated 12 2024
