I think this is a great sub for a good deal. You can just tell right away its very well made has some serious weight to it despite being slim. Its one of the shallowest subs i was able to find and has at least twice the watt ratings compared to any others. I chose this over a JL sub that was similarly priced because it is rated much higher and mounts more than an inch shallower and i had just enough space for this one, im happy with my decision. I made a custom “stealth box” that is hidden in my middle seat in my truck. It sounds great and really clean and thumps really hard when tuned right, it shakes my mirrors with certain music. I have it in a .45 cu ft sealed box and it hits plenty hard enough for my regular cab truck even though it calls for a .65 box so im sure if you have more room and can build the box to spec it will perform even better!

If you are buying this know that it is very stiff. Will require around 500-600 watts RMS to drive it well. Series both coils are closer to 6.8 ohms. Hits quite hard in a 3 CF box sealed. Hits as hard as my Punch pro series before it died. Burned coil.

Stop working after less than a year. Amazon wouldn't help. They said to call the manufacturer. The manufacturer refused to honor warranty because I purchased it on Amazon. What a farse.

I purchased this American Bass 10" sub on a whim as an upgrade for the blown single 10" in a bandpass box in my 91 explorer . Damn I made the right choice . This sub is an outwrite beast. I couldn't believe how Stout it sounds when hit with it's full rated RMS wattage. And I'm actually running at 8 ohm. I wouldn't be able to keep my glass intact If I was running a 2ohm setup. This is a quality sub in my book. I hit my audio system hard all day and night, Day after Day and it doesn't even seem to phase this sub, it performs impecably. Just like the original I had for the last decade that finally went out on me! Extremely happy with the results and sound quality! Design changed slightly but still the same great sound quality!
