Premium sound and that’s all there is to offer
I have been using the Oneplus Buds Z2 for more than a 1.5 years now and that is perhaps the best TWS headphones at that given price. It has great features, great sound, great battery life and good noise cancellation. But I was still searching for another TWS. Why? Because I am not a fan of bass. My only two reasons for not liking the Buds Z2 is that it is bass heavy, and it is too loud. This is what most people want, but my music preferences are not like that. So when I read reviews about the Sony WF C500, I thought of buying it. But that changed was that I got the Song WF C700N at under 5000 in the Great Indian Festival. And what impressed me most the most is the sound. The sound isn’t too bassy. It balanced. Some might call it flat and boring too. Because it won’t excite you if you are someone who loves bass. But I loved the sound. I was amazed what a 5 mm dynamic driver could do. Yes, small driver means the volume isn’t as loud as Oneplus, but I could never use the Oneplus over 20 percent volume as it would hurt my ears. The Sony is much more soft and has a warm sound tone. It packs good punch and if you want you have a full equaliser at your disposal in the Headphones Connect app. And you can play along with the already created profiles or make custom ones. Adjust the sound to your likings and you will be amazed at the sound. The connection is easy too and the app is easy to use. I would say for the price I got it at, the sound punches much above the class. But that’s about it. If you look for features, look away. The buds have a continuous battery backup of around 8 hours approximately and the case holds one additional charge. You will get approximately 16 hours of playtime with ANC turned on. The case takes 3 hours ro fully charge however there is a fast charge feature where you can charge for 10 mis and use for some 2-4 hours. There are no touch controls, however the buttons are very tactile and a breeze to use. The buds have IPX4 though. And it is one of the lightest set of TWS I have ever used. So don’t look for any features. As the competition offer much more at lesser price. But that I loved, I will repeat again, is the sound. And the customisation available for the sound. The experience is premium. The connection is easy for both Android and iOS. For someone who loves to play around with different types of music, this is a great pair of TWS if you get it under 6000 I would say. This would be an audiophile’s dream budget TWS if you look at it that way. But it for the amazing sound and nothing else.

Value for money.
It's a Sony and it works just like that. Pros: 1. Everything is packaged well. The earbuds fits snuggly into the grooves within the charger, no dramas there. 2. Noise cancellation is very good. It is not pin drop but it is really good. It is comparable to silicon earplugs if one has used it. I used both and hence could compare. Used it in real noisy places, outdoors, airplane etc. Does it's job. 3. Call quality. No complains. 4. Sound quality. Does not hurt your ears. 5. Battery last really long esp if you are a mild user like me. I have been mostly using it for noise cancellation. Cons: 1. Abruptly switches from noise cancellation to ambience, may be there is a setting that does it. Need to check. 2. Sound quality, Decent. Not the best, but good enough for me and with the product quality of Sony I will take it any day. All in all a value for money product. I previously had a Sony headset and lasts ages.. expect this to last as well.. let's see.

Worth the money and it's SONY !!!
Read it full ! I have provided Frequency Response and EQ profile of the earbuds which I give credits to rtings.com for a wonderful review based on which I bought this. This has a fairly flat profile which is actually good in a pair of earbuds. I have provided my EQ settings with which at 70% vol, I am getting super results. Perfect Deep Heart Thumping Bass, Flat and clean Mids + Rich and crisp Treble. Good for type of music that I listen to. ANC could have been better. Without ANC too, it can give a perfect isolation from outside noise. But, for wind blasts and low rumbles ANC is fine. With ANC battery life is poor at 3-3.5 hours max and a couple of charges with case if it's full. Without ANC straight 10 hour battery (buds). Fit is perfect with three different sized sturdy silicone tips. Hard plastic and feels well built. Dropped it three times on hard floor from Waist height. Nothing bad has happened. Only IP4 so be careful with water. Don't immerse. Small splashes are fine with a quick wipe. You do have better options for every other aspect than quality of sound. And the brand SONY gives confidence to its customers. Can't explain more about sound quality and the lovely way it feels. I do realise it's difficult to test earbuds before buying, but if you are getting this earbuds at around 6.5-7k ₹ then definitely go for it. Else you can buy WF C500N. It's equally good just without ANC. And finally, the call quality is superb. I have tested at different conditions and even in windy, chatty atmosphere, I was able to convince my boss that I was sitting in the chamber working quietly.... 🙊 Costed me 8K with no cost EMI from Amazon Pay. I can say, it's 1-1.5k ₹ extra for it's worth.....

OK Product rendered almost useless by the WORST FIT EVER
Read good reviews on Cnet and Techradar and paid 7990/- for it. Delivery ok, product worked ok Using it for 3 weeks now. The Good 1. Decent sound. My previous one was Jabra Elite 3 and this was better sound 2. Multipoint meant it connected to both laptop and mobile so switching between the two was a big plus. THE BAD 1. THE FIT IS COMPLETE CRAP!! Used all 3 sizes of earbuds and nothing works. It feels super unsteady. Has fallen off several times. Forget running. Just doing weights or even just walking about sometimes, the bud falls off. It is beyond irritating. I don't ever use it in the loo after it fell off thrice. Thankfully on the floor. The head is so big and heavy that its always sticking out of the ear. Seems like poor design. I dont know how none of the reviews mentioned this. Am I a freak? 2. The touch controls are total bullshit. You never get the tactile feel of pause or resume. I never know how many times I need to press or touch the damn buttons. You cant easily feel the buttons, you have to keep feeling around like a blind man. COMPLETELY REGRET PAYING 9K FOR THIS NONSENSE. I have used a variety from Bose Soundsport (good but only lasted 18 months after paying 17K), JBL, Jabra Elite 3, Mivi, Sony wired bluetooth and Sennheiser. This one has marginally better sound than all except Bose. But fit and controls are so bad that I would gladly go back to Jabra any day! Have paid so much so I have to stick with it till I lose it or it dies. WILL NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL. POST SCRIPT - 22ND OCTOBER Back here to report that the left ear bud died in the 1st week of October (3 months after purchase). When I went over some reviews many had mentioned this sudden death of the left one. Kicking myself for not having seen it. Anyway, visited their service center, they have done a reset and update (on the spot, took 1 hour). And it seems to be working now. Fingers crossed. I am half expecting the damn thing to die again just one day after the warranty. Wish me luck PPS - 7th November So, I have a working pair now for the last 14 days. But a few things that are still a problem: My wife went and did the exchange and just checked that it was working. But she hadnt heard the phones before. When I tried it, there seemed to be a significant drop in max volume. At the gym, where I have it turned up full, I could barely hear it with all the noise around (earlier I could). One more thing - it keeps getting disconnected from my phone (One Plus), something that didnt happen before. I have a feeling they have handed out some reconditioned piece instead of new. Will be going again this weekend. WOULD I BUY THIS AGAIN AT 7999/-? >>>> NO WAY!! NOT EVEN FOR 4K WHICH IS WHAT I SPENT ON MY PREVIOUS JABRA ELITE 3

Best in category if can get under 6k
I stepped into tws experience with my good old boult 3 years ago. They served me well and still going. Next natural level was sonys like these c700n. When I first put them, their size amazed me. Where the boults felt like boulders in comparison and used to start to cause pain after a few hours, these I was able to just keep plugging in. I had to use biggest eartips that came packaged, but once inserted, they felt quite well. Now as obvious, this is my first experience with anc, and yea..not too bad. Transparency mode definitely let's you hear your surroundings so you can talk easily while listening a low volume music. When you switch on anc mode, you can barely listen someone talking next to you. Here's how I'll best describe. Imagine a fan running in the room and some mild noise from the outside. Just putting in the buds takes away 50% of the noise (maybe more). ANC on will additonally take away 10-20% more. That remaining 10-20% will usually stay. Again numbers depend on how much the ambient noise is. But given the price, no compaint. ANC definitely does it's job. I keep everything off for most part, because the passive nc is itself really great once you choose your tips properly. Plus the battery life is definitely reduced with any of anc or transparency on. The sound quality is definitely a step up from all the buds in the 2-4k category. You gotta hand it to sony..they know how to spread their magic in their DACs (In retrospective, I used to have a sony disc walkman. The purity with which it used to throw that CD quality sound!). Instrument placement and low/mid/high separation is good, and significantly richer sound in these compared to my 2k boult earbuds when heard back 2 back, where the boult sounded muffled and hesistant in spreading the wings. I can say that coz now I have something better to compare my boults with (no offense my old friend:)) I absolutely love the tactile buttons on these buds, as much as I hate the touch. These buttons I can comfortable press even lightly with my palm (yeah I am weird that way), or while I am wearing a muffler, or a woolen cap, none of which is possible with those fiddly touch controls. The app. Its just wonderful. Tons of options and full control over the buds and their controls. I didn't have a to tweak the eq much. I am more of a flat response kinda guy with some audiophile qualities owning a good collection of high quality soundtracks, that's why I usually prefer listening through wired sets through good quality dacs (will get the high-end LDAC buds in due time..treading slowly for now). The earphones seemed a bit lacking in highs, so just pumped it up a notch in the eq, and got the sound of my liking. These have just DSEE (unlike higher DSEE HX, extreme etc. in higher end models). It'll depend on the kind of encoding the song has (I mean more/less compression of dynamic range etc). It definitely does create a clearer sound picture in some songs, not so much in others. Good to have feature though. But takes additional battery power to run owing to some expensive processing. Laptop usually gave out SBC, but as usual, always aac on iphone which sounded better most of the time. Again, expected. Coming to battery power, I think that's where I'll miss the boults. They had crazy power in their charging bank. Single charge was just 4-5 hours but you could charge them like 5-6 times before the bank ran out of power. These sonys definitely last more in a single charge (haven't calculated exact number for now, they say ~8-9 hrs with anc off), but with just one more charge in the bank. But, the good side is that the case is light and easy to carry. The boult case was relatively heavier and lot bigger. I got these for 5.6k in a deal, so overall great one given the crazy prices of everything in 2025, and given that these usually retail for $80-100 in US (with msrp of $120). So if you can get these under 6k INR, a sweet deal. You definitely get the sound and features that you pay for, maybe more. C710N are also expected soon, which you can wait for, with some expected improvements, but whatever.

Not worth it
It's ok, not very clear and a little shrill.

Excellent Sound Quality with Smooth Connectivity
The Sony C700N earbuds are an absolute delight to use. The sound quality is rich and balanced, with clear vocals and a nice punch in the bass without being overwhelming. Noise cancellation works surprisingly well for the size, making them great for both travel and daily commutes. What I really love is how smoothly they connect to devices—it’s fast, seamless, and hassle-free. They can also connect to up to 2 devices at the same time, which makes switching between my phone and laptop super convenient. They fit comfortably in the ears and feel secure even after long hours of use. Battery life is solid, and the case is compact enough to slip into a pocket. Overall, these earbuds deliver premium performance with excellent connectivity—definitely a worthy choice if you’re looking for everyday wireless earbuds.

Good
I bought for under 5k so below points r in context with price under 5k: Pros: Amazing sound quality, Good Built quality (feels premium), Great in-ear Fit, Decent Noise cancelling and ambient mode, Good features. Cons: Battery! only one extra charge with ANC on otherwise decent with ANC off , Noise Cancelling could have been better, No wireless charging, Some features are missing such as proximity sensor, find my buds. These are some points everyone would agree on. But for me, considering the price under 5k in which i bought them, I can ignore everything else as its SONY after all but the only thing which i am not satisfied with is its BATTERY life with ANC mode. Overall i think i made best decision to buy these earbuds comparing to onplus buds 3, realme air 6 pro and others which are feature rich but are just cheap "chini" companies. Alternatives to consider and compare: Samsung, Soundcore, Jabra. Happy Listening 🤗
