I have a LaCrosse rain gauge that has worked well for several years. Then a few weeks ago, the GLASS cylinder disappeared - not sure if someone took it or broke it. But I needed a replacement. I checked the sizing of the cylinder on the LaCrosse description, and this plastic replacement tube was SLIGHTLY smaller. Therefore, it works perfectly, fitting my attractive rain gauge holder.

Would be a five star but the Temperature reads about 5 degrees too high, and is highly affected by direct sunlight, and it has to have to be “in the open” to catch rain. Rainfall readings are very good. I like the ability to read different “periods” of accumulation. A very good and simple way to read rainfall, for sure.

My 7" Plastic Rain Gauge by JMBOY arrived on time today. The Amazon Driver delivered it precisely on time - He was Super Nice, too. The product was carefully packaged in a box and came wrapped in plastic - the Brush was stored inside the gauge. The numbers on the tube are large and easy to read. Most importantly, the tube fits perfectly in our APSOONSELL Rain Gauge with Solar Lights. It had a 7" Capacity Glass Tube that broke when a small amount of water was left in the tube and the temp dropped below freezing one night. On a whim, I searched Amazon and found this product! I am perfectly delighted with the 7" Plastic Rain Gauge. I have not used the cleaning brush but I fully expect it to perform smooth as glass. Consider me completely satisfied with this product!

So easy to read the gauge. Replaced the original tube and this one came with a brush to clean. Just slide the tube into holder, super easy. Looks very good in the back yard.

gauge record recording not last very long. The actual rain gauge portion quit working after less than a year. I would recommend spending the money to purchase a better one.

I’m quite excited with the 7” glass rain gauges. They arrived securely wrapped in plastic bubble wrap and nice large, clear numbers makes them easy to read. I was a little surprised when delivery date was on Sunday! But sure enough, l was not to be disappointed.

"plastic tube will not freeze crack" "There is no need to worry about freezing cracking in the winter" This is 100% false. I purchased this rain gauge, looks nice and I do like it, however it cracked the first winter. my 12 yr old did his best to crazy glue the crack. Time will tell if that works. if not, will prob order another one, but take in for the winter.

This rain gauge records double the amount actually received

This is only 24 1/2" tall when pushed into the ground. Not the advertised height. The metal rod is very small in diameter. Underwhelmed by this product.
