Very good design and it is beautiful too
Beautiful, well thought out design, very well made. Easy to use. Sauerkraut are good for healthier life, will be using this for making it. The size is perfect too.

Excellent!
This was my very first time making sauerkraut, I shopped around a lot on Amazon, looking at all the various options, and I decided on this crock. I must say, my first batch came out beautifully. This crock is attractive and there was zero smell while fermenting. It's important to keep an eye on the water level on the lip, it dries out every few days. The weights that came with this crock had a very nice glaze on them, they were easy to use, and the weight kept the cabbage down in the liquid. I would highly recommend this crock. I started making sauerkraut for the probiotics, and I'm very impressed with this crock.

Pretty shape
While the crock is nicely made, big mouth my hand will fit no problem. Well packed. I was expecting a starting book or pamphlet - nope. Searched for website and did not find one. I will look for recipe and try the crock, will give an update.

Works great. Very happy.
Wow. A water seal is so much easier than what I was doing. Why did I wait so long to treat myself right? Don't follow my example. Don't wait, do it now. A wide mouth, easy to clean, and well made. I still use mason jars and weights, and my grandma's 5 gallon crock (lead free. I tsted) but this is nowhere my main goal to option. Very happy.

Lid does not create water tight seal
I purchased this and while the product is gorgeous, the lid doesn’t fit. It’s just slightly too big of a circle to fit into the water trough. I’d like to swap out for a lid that fits but can’t figure out how to contact them for swapping out the lid. The lid should sink down into the trough so that it can create a water seal. This will not perform like that.

Small crock perfection
I have big, heavy sauerkraut crocks and wanted something small. This 2L onggi shape is absolutely perfect. The opening is enormous (ok, 5") and the water moat works like a champ. Big bonus - the swell of the water moat serves as the way to pick it up. Since it is generous and goes all around the crock, it is WAY easier to get hold of than the traditional little popouts. I hope Zetilli will bring this 2L size back! I could go for half a dozen (red kraut with horseradish, ginger carrots, white kraut with caraway, garlic-just-garlic, kimchi with gochugaru, beets with pink and green peppercorns...) UPDATE: Amazon combines all reviews for this crock, regardless of size. I purchased a 4L as well as the 2L, and once again, the opening is generous - so much easier to clean - the weight of the crock is very nice, the glaze is excellent. Having three weights instead of two is marvelous. I put a piece of waxed paper or parchment on the vegetables, tuck the weights on top of that, and add brine to cover the weights. I have never had a problem with mold, nor with small bits or spices floating above the brine. UPDATE first batch of sauerkraut (red cabbage, horseradish) in the 2L crock came out perfect!

not bad
should have gotten the smaller one, but this works well and you can still make small amounts inside because of the weights. harder to clean because its so heavy.
